    The Cubs didn't lose to the Reds Sunday, which was nice. Tonight they play the Rays. The Rays have a worse record than the Cubs. It probably doesn't matter. Jameson Taillon is pitching. I probably won't watch a whole lot of this game, since my son has a little league game at 5:30. His 10U team's lineup is only slightly more disappointing than watching Cubs catchers hit.

    Their farm sucks. We have plenty of guys they should be interested in that are probably not going to be Cubs regulars. Rengifo looks like a guy worth adding for this year, assuming he can play solid 3B and give Morel the DH role full time.

    Like Ian Happ not so long ago, I took a few days off. Let's hope that like Ian at the plate (9th inning this afternoon excepted) the time away will improve my game thread starting performance. Someone will pitch for the Cubs and probably pitch pretty well. Will the Cubs score enough runs for it to matter? Tune in for another edge of your seat 2024 Chicago Cubs thriller! Or don't. I get it.
