  1. Pete will tag Patrick for one if he goes long enough
  2. Think the pitch was high, but what a play by Nico
  3. I hate how the pitching staff might end up wasting such an amazing season from PCA (and probably Seiya's best Cubs season?)
  4. Picked up Andrew Abbott for my fantasy team today, worked like a charm for the Cubs offense
  5. This stretch without Dansby has convinced me more than ever that I was wrong to value offensive WAR so much more than defensive. I bet his glove (and therefore Nico's at 2nd rather than SS) would have made the difference in at least 2 games.
  6. that's enough of watching the Cubs bullpen for me today
  7. Meanwhile, Seattle has 4 guys who would be in the argument for the Cubs' best pitcher, Anderson, and another 20-y/o top 50 prospect pitcher tearing up AA to the tune of 11 k/9 with a 7.14 k/bb (Ryan Sloan- who also happens to be from Elmhurst)
  8. The challenge rule is dumb. Just get the calls right
  9. He had back issues, right? Could just be being extra cautious.
  10. A poor man's Rickey Henderson is somewhere between Lou Brock and Kenny Lofton
  11. 19th most in the league with 36, per StatMuse (https://www.statmuse.com/mlb/ask/team-record-when-scoring-2-runs-or-less) one less than the Dodgers, Red Sox and Yankees (all at 37)... one more than the Brewers at 35.
  12. Cubs record in games they score 0-2 runs: 4-31 Brewers record in games they score 0-2 runs: 9-25 hmmm... nearly the same amount of games with low offensive output, yet the Brewers have 5 more wins... whatever could be the difference? edit: StatsMuse says Cubs are 4-32, Brewers are 9-26... I was counting manually thru BRef game logs, so I may have been off... point remains https://www.statmuse.com/mlb/ask/team-record-when-scoring-2-runs-or-less
