  1. Most definitely. Noticed it last night on the final play and it certainly looks that was tonight. Maybe they decided Vargas was so bad out there that they're willing to risk Simmons while Nico is out.
  2. not really following the game... is Schwindel playing over Rivas? if he is, why? Dude was a flash in the pan, a good story for a couple months in a bad season, but it's over. Rivas seems like a poor man's Mark Grace, whereas Schwindel is a poor man's Bryan LaHair
  3. Drop: Kris Bryant Add: Kyle Schwarber
  4. Pretty sure I saw a tweet from Wainwright last week that said something about needing 2 negative tests
  5. Nice top of the 1st from Steele. Ortega jumped on a FB and doubled to lead off, and Willy drove him in. 1-0 Cubs after 1
  6. Any IL fans here want to weigh in on him? Undersized, but solid. Had some injuries this past year, think an ankle injury maybe? He's played a lot of football, will be interesting to see if he can make the roster.
  7. I mean, he played with MVP Kris Bryant and Javy when he was almost MVP... Suzuki may be awesome, and let's hope so!, but come on Willy. 2 weeks of great play is all well and good, but slow your roll.
  8. So far, the Brewers have hit poorly, and pitched maybe even worse. Ian Happ probably won't play, which sucks because he has been awesome. Pretty excited to watch Stro as we go for the season-opening sweep. Go Cubs!
  9. I think those of us who submitted by the original deadline should get all of our dongs from the early games counted
  10. Cubs are in 1st place, thanks to a strong start from Kyle, and nice days at the plate from Ian Happ, Seiya Suzuki, Jason Heyward, and everybody's favorite dongsmith, Nico Hoerner. Pitching matchup looks to favor the Brewers, but maybe the shortened ramp up will continue to hinder power pitchers, as it seemed to take Burnes a while to get comfortable today.
  11. The Cubs have a chance to take 1st place for the first time since June 24 of 2021, after which they lost 11 straight and found themselves 6.5 games out of first. But it's a new year! We have Marcus Stroman (who will start our 3rd game because both he and Kyle are RH and don't throw too hard, I guess)! And Seiya Suzuki - who is actually worth getting excited about! And we still have Kyle, who will hopefully be helped today by cold weather and not give up too many dongs. Go Cubs!
  12. Was it in all caps? Did he hit enter too quickly multiple times? If not, it obviously wasn't JI JIM THOME
  13. C WIllson Contreras $75 1B Matt Olson $200 2B Brandon Lowe $200 3B Josh Donaldson $75 SS Bo Bichette $75 LF Kris Bryant $75 CF Cody Bellinger $25 RF Nick Castellanos $100 DH Juan Soto $75 Total: $900
  14. 3 minutes in, and the WC draw show is bonkers
  15. Yeah, but I don't think xG knows that we haven't had a quality finisher since Deuce retired
  16. Kansas has a chance, Nova played 6 guys, and Moore might have been their 2nd or 3rd best player? I expect a Kansas-UNC title game, with Kansas winning.
  17. Personally waiting until Spring Training is wrapping up. Don't wanna have an injured player on my team right outta the gate
  18. surely he gets an offer to go to Seton Hall, right?
  19. Reyna amazed at how badly Pefok blew that one
  20. Weah also out for Panama
  21. Yedlin yellow and Cannon having COVID means no eligible RB on the roster for Panama... great planning Gregggggg
  22. I don't think the offensive line questions can really be answered in the draft, but I think they could get plenty of WR help. It seems like WRs are coming into the league more ready to play right away than ever. If they come away with like George Pickens or David Bell with one of their 2nd round picks, I think that sets them up well.
  23. Illinois played so bad, I felt physically ill watching that game, and for 20 minutes after I saw them win.
  24. Maybe Joe Scally gets a call up now?
