    Illinois' 4 losses were by a combined 20 points. The last year prior to this one where they did not have a loss by 20+ points was 2008.

    I know it would never happen, but I honestly wonder how different things would look in both college football and basketball if no ranking were someone until part way into the season. Like, 3 games in football and a month in basketball. People would claim that the CFP rankings do this, but there's no way they don't consider the other rankings -- and plenty of that (at least toward the middle/bottom of the top 25) is skewed by the perception leading into the season.

    This is good right? Just don’t get smoked today and hope englands second team is still good enough to grab 3 points against wales and we just need to beat Iran. If we win today, we go through of we don't lose to Iran. If we draw, we can go through If England win or draw v Wales and we draw or win v Iran. If we lose, we can still go through by beating Iran as long we still beat them and Wales on GD, which would obviously be very likely as long as we don't get curb stomped by England.

    It's unfortunate neither Gio nor Aaronson play the 9 #oldnews It's more unfortunate that they probably could and Berhalter has never given them (or Weah) a chance (obviously injuries have played a part in that) Like, I wouldn't be surprised to see a better attack with Gio or Weah up top rather than Sargent, even if that's not their best spot

    By definition, there's no way that was hands to the face. Now I'm not sure if there's a rule against a throat punch, but it wasn't hands to the face. Period.

    Comparing Fields stats (and Jackson, and other QBs who add significant value running the ball) to other QBs you really need to add his running and passing totals together to compare yardage. No, 154 doesn't seem like a lot of yards, but 228 in the 3rd quarter does look pretty good and adequately describes his value.
