  2. I think the Cubs will repeat 2005 in one respect. Last season I'm pretty sure that they were never more than 5 games above or below .500. They were consistently mediocre.
  3. Didn't we already do this last week? viewtopic.php?t=28303
  4. and both times the CB's fell down was due to contact with Smith. The first one looked like Smith just mowed him down, the other saw Thompson bump and fall.
  5. The Nittany Lions put a bit of a scare into Iowa, eh?
  6. The good news for 2006 is that the Vikings, Packers and Lions all look to repeat their full-on suckitude.
  7. Just got back from seeing the game at the folks' house. Um, has someone been assigned to cover Smith yet who DOESN'T fall down? And how about stopping with the 2-deep zone? How many 15 yard pass plays can one team give up? And, yeah. See you in the playoffs in 2009
  8. ha, maybe next time I should RTFA
  9. Why would Sweeney call Giambi out? I mean, I'm totally against steroids, but why bring up a 6 year old incident now?
  10. First, I had EI last year and it was great, but I'm not sure the 2006 Cubs are worth the money this summer. Second, as an "East Coaster", I prefer day games simply because Wrigley Night Games don't start until after 8pm here, meaning I'm up until 11 pm (with 2 young kids who wake up really early in the morning). West Coast night games I dont' even bother with.
  11. I believe that's former Pirate Mackowiack. Indeed it is! I need to get around to putting Zack Duke's face there in place of Mack-O-Whack. I see. Well don't let your love for Rob turn you to the dark side of Chicago
  12. Must be late bro, seriously I was making a sarcastic remark in my original post. I did not assume you even put a parking sticker on your car. My bad on the misunderstanding! I was just trying to figure out why people think Neon's suck so much ;) I've had my car for over a year and haven't seen a problem yet. Gotten good gas mileage in the city during the time. Its only likely a 4-5 year car for me. I've had them as rental cars a few times and I felt like if I closed the trunk too hard that it would disintegrate. My wife likened the experience to "driving a tin can"
  13. Why is a Pittsburgh fan posting with a ChiSox avatar?
  14. She's a real beauty! http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/j/msnbc/Components/Photos/060109/060109_geeley_hmed.hmedium.jpg That's gross. Someone mentioned that it carries the spirit of Yugo within its accursed frame - beach towel upholstery, keys that break off in the ignition, etc. That's not even close to being the ugliest car out there. It will most likely be close to being the lowest quality and most unreliable car in the American market. Can't be any worse than a Neon or a Focus
  15. You mean like not completely lying about them? yeah, that would be a pleasant change
  16. This is the jersey I'm buying this year: http://www.statecollegespikes.com/images/uniforms_19.jpg
  17. You would 1. Pierre CF 2. Walker 2B 3. Lee 1B 4. Ramirez 3B 5. Barrett C 6. Murton LF 7. Jones RF 8. Cedeno SS
  18. You want how I would bat them or how Dusty will bat them?
  19. Isn't it sad to see guys like Vina and Appier just try to hang around late in their careers? Can't anybody retire with dignity anymore?
  20. Yes, a batter can change his swing. Look at what Jeff Pentland did with Sosa. Lowered his hands, got him to stop moving the bat around while waiting for the pitch, etc. Or look at Cal Ripken over the years. He seems to have a completely different batting stance every other year or so.
  21. My biggest worry is that the Panthers absolutely shut down Tiki Barber, and Barber >>>>>> Thomas Jones. Without a good running performance, Grossman could be exposed. Here's hoping I'm wrong
  22. any OL help PSU can get would be great, since 4 of the 5 starters were Sr.'s this year. If Posluszny stays, they have him as a Sr. next year and Connor as a Jr., so the LB situation is solid. OL and DB's are where PSU needs the immediate help. Oh, and DE, as both Hali and Rice are gone
  23.
  24. Derivative: How much wood could a Kerry Wood carry if a Kerry Wood could carry wood?
