  1. Orange football uniforms are an abomination to God
  2. that San Fran park is built for Fielder I also think the Sabathia trade is something the Brewers would, in hindsight, absolutely do again. The team was in a great position to make a run at the division and Sabathia has been pretty outstanding.
  3. some GM will give him 4/$40M and let's hope it's not ours
  4. Ohio and Troy would destroy the teams PSU has played so far. But yeah, OSU is looking pretty pathetic this year. It's awesome. Northwestern is handling Ohio much better than OSU did
  5. I kinda hope they don't get all champagne crazy. this team has been in first place almost all year, and this is only step one of our goals
  6. Stephfon Green is very, very fast too bad about the spelling of his name
  7. Fun fact: more Americans were involved in that battle than any other battle in American history. We had over 600,000 troops involved of which 75,000+ became casualties. you liar, that fact is no fun at all a 17% fatality rate isn't fun? lighten up, Francis
  8. PSU came out sleepy but put up a 31 spot in the 2nd quarter. Still not sure what to think of this team. On the one hand, they've played 4 straight patsies. On the other, they are obliterating these teams (unlike OSU struggling with OU and Troy, for example). The defense is really good, and the offense has enough moving parts to keep opposing defenses on their toes. What remains to be seen is how the offense will do against a bonafide defense.
  9. if the Brewers lose and their game finishes before the Cubs game, then techinically the Cubs will not clinch on the field. So, yeah, that's me justifying the fact that I'm stuck with the Brewers game on Fox. Hopefully there's a good CFB game on this afternoon
  10. LaTroy learned a lot about being a whiny bitch when he was on the 2004 Cubs (Kings of Whiny Bitchiness)
  11. LOL. business loyalty? ha ha ha ha
  12. Ryan Howard shouldn't even be in the discussion
  13. i really want to call DirecTV and ask them WTF happened to the HD channel, but by the time they fix it, this game will be over
  14. thanks, EI, for cutting off the HD feed of this game after 8 innings.
  15. did anyone else's EI just cut off like the game was over?
  16. Whats wrong with Jeff? He's an inexperienced starting pitcher thrust into a setup role for a contender. Whose defense failed him. wait wait wait, didn't you guys decry me when I booed Cedeno on that Kerry Wood blown save, saying it was Wood's fault for allowing the base runners, not Cedeno's for booting the DP ball?
  17. yikes 115 pitches? Rest that boy till October
  18. Please justify this statement. The more I think about it, the more I believe that having LESS than 11 pitchers is lunacy. You do realize that there are 2 sets or back to back games during the LDS, right? the LDS schedule goes: Game 1 Game 2 Off Day Game 3 Game 4 Off Day Game 5 You only need 4 starters (assuming no one goes on short rest), which leaves you with a 6 man bullpen, which is pretty standard. Two guys in that pen will probably be Marquis and Marshall, both of whom can pitch a lot of innings if the starter gets pulled early. That leaves you with 4 more "specialty" relievers (likely Wood, Cotts, Marmol and Smardzjia). That's plenty. If Gaudin is healthy and reliable, I'm fine with an 11th pitcher, but that's the max.
  19. in the 5 game LDS, any more than 10 pitchers is just lunacy
