  1. I'm constantly amazed at the stupidity of the major sports when it comes to broadcasting. This "TBS gets all the first round games so they have to cram 3 games per day" thing is pretty dumb, though I think the NFL's "we're going to let a network that hasn't aired a single NFL game all year carry the Super Bowl" takes the cake
  2. just looked at his numbers with the Dodgers. Sweet Jebus!
  3. Hooray for injecting pointless political crap into an unrelated thread. Hooray for overreacting.
  4. crazy it's in West Lafayette and not Indy. There's plenty of time to change that though. On one of my birthdays, my wife took me to the Duke vs. DePaul game at the United Center. Yeah, DePaul got spanked. That was the Duke team with Brand, Battier, Langdon, Avery, Maggette.....it was ugly
  5. wasn't that game played in Milwaukee County Stadium? EDIT: Yep, so I guess those of you who were there in person were up in Milwaukee?
  6. welcome to the GOP dream: an unregulated Free Market economy
  7. I approve of this scheduling
  8. more scintillating analysis from you're truly
  9. i'll go out on a limb and guess it won't be played in West Lafayette Duke is coming to Purdue this year. color me shocked. Duke almost NEVER plays an OOC game outside of North Carolina
  10. joining a board with thousands of Cubs fans and then having a sig that rubs the Cubs lack of success in our faces is, by definition, trolling
  11. so he's the Geovanny Soto of center field. Clearly it's possible to see a jump in power in one year and for it to be sustainable
  12. i'll go out on a limb and guess it won't be played in West Lafayette
  13. it's also not hard for Pierre's SLG to eclipse his OBP when his OBP is hovering around .330
  14. you can always count on Yankee fans to anoint someone new with that distinction. There is always a Shane Spencer or Scott Brosius available in the off season
  15. I'm on this band wagon for sure.
  16. everyone knows tim tebow is overrated
  17. That's absolutely correct. They were supposed to be installed in 1942, but were donated to the war effort. They didn't have poles put up or anything yet, so they donated the lights themselves. just imagine if the country would make some sacrifices for the war effort in this century. Not that it would ever happen....who is going to downgrade from a Venti to a Grande Chai Latte to help the troops?
  18. Browns+Quinn=Undefeated
  19. Michigan has a drastically new offensive system and Rodriguez doesn't have the players to run it. I'm pretty sure they are no better than a .500 team in conference
  20. I would expect a lineup maybe something like this: Soriano Fukudome Lee Soto DeRosa Edmonds Fontenot Theriot
  21. If someone had bet you that between the two, Jeff Smardzjia would be getting really playing time in his sport before Brady Quinn, would have you have taken that bet?
  22. I predict that IF the Cubs win the WS, that there will be some hugely controversial play that will play in the Cubs' favor but will hold their championship up to decades of scrutiny and second-guessing
  23. I'm embarrassed that Millen is a PSU alum
  24. maybe Cleveland is trying to delay starting Quinn's arbitration clock
