  1. That was fun. Really fun.
  2. Should have expected that.
  3. My undefeated streak will be put in great peril tonight. I think MSU is on a different level compared to Stetson, Notre Dame, and Illinois, the other games I've attended this year. Crowd should be good though, just want to see a good game. Do any non-IU people expect them to win this? I think the Hoosiers have used up all their Assembly magic with Kentucky and Ohio State.
  4. IU really playing well today. Not that Minnesota is all that great, but IU needed this game. Blowout road wins are fun.
  5. Was just offered two seats for next week's MSU @ IU game for $200. Lower level, Row 14. Been a long time since I've purchased tickets like this. Fair price? Now if I only had confidence IU can take the Spartans down...
  6. I think its great that Deron is coming out to publicly support his coach. But, does it really matter? There were tons of former players at IU that gave their opinion on what IU should do, but its meaningless. I don't think this makes things any more ugly. Maybe Deron will become a fan of Iowa or something. Kent Benson is Mr. Purdue right now.
  7. Bruce has become quite the target for student section chants this week.
  8. NSBB should charge to view this thread during games. I would happily pay for this entertainment.
  9. What was the deal with the pregame speech? I actually feel like I missed something good by actually going to the game.
  10. The pissing match continues.
  11. The only thing absurd and obscene is how fast IU has returned from the dead to surpass Illinois.
  12. Don't mess with "The Big Handsome".
  13. The point is that any fan can list multiple incidents per game where they felt as if their team was wronged. It isn't news to anyone that officiating isn't very good. I thought I explained a balanced opinion about that aspect of the game in my original post. Enough is enough though. IU fans think they are the better team regardless of officiating. Illinois fans disagree. Lets move on.
  14. The horse is well beyond dead.... But the Illini undercut Sheehey. Leonard threw Zeller down and should have been T'd up...blah blah.
  15. My thoughts on the game as I try to wake myself up and get motivated to teach after a late night. 1. Good atmosphere at the game. It was quite loud at times, the students were all over Weber during the time outs. A smattering of Orange throughout the building, but not too much. 2. Leonard had a great first half, very happy that this might be the last time he ever plays against IU. I can see how some have issues with the way he handles himself. I'm not knocking the kid, but during one time out he basically walked his way back to the Illinois huddle from 3/4 court away. Weber just stood there and waited for him like an impatient father. Leonard walked by without even giving him a glance. 3. Yes, there were a lot of fouls called. Some from my awful seats looked like bad calls. Illinois did get a bit hacky with their defense at times. I really didn't think the majority were bad calls though. 4. Indiana was able to drive at will, not sure if that has been an issue with the Illini defense all year or not. 5. Was talking with an Illinois fan on the way out and he said over and over that when the Illini are supposed to be good, they struggle. When there are low expectations, they tend to overachieve. Not sure if that is a common theme among you guys or not. 6. I'm not going to make any idiotic "IU is back" statements. They are on their way though. This team is a year ahead of schedule and that is nice to see. It is always nice to beat Illinois too, I know you all feel the same about IU. Ok, time to teach...
  16. About to head to Bloomington for the game. Don't have the greatest seats, but will hopefully be a good night. I really think it will be a close game. Really interested to see the Zeller/Leonard matchup.
  17. Ok IU, don't suck today.
  18. Hulls has struggled the past couple of games. That game went about how I expected it to. This next stretch will define how this Big10 season goes for IU.
  19. Fully preparing myself for a beatdown by OSU today. I can see Zeller getting into some foul trouble and Sullinger just having his way. This is the start of a big road stretch for IU. @OSU @Nebraska Penn St @Wisconsin Iowa @Michigan @Purdue Does anybody think IU could go 4-3 in this stretch? That would involve two road wins...hmmmm.
  20. Without reading the discussion so far, last night confirmed my doubts about IU. Don't get me wrong, I'm pleased as hell about what they have done. That was a game they needed to win though. It is a good team, but not a top 10 team, and I am totally fine with that.
  21. The obvious advantage is that game being at Indiana. I'm a huge fan, but maybe it is just the past 3 years fresh in my mind, I'm still not 100% sold on IU. They are good, but I think their ranking is overweighted a tad, no matter how deserved it might be.
  22. I fully expect OSU to unleash hell against IU Sunday in Columbus.
  23. I dont even know what this means. That was a good outcome for IU.
  24. I'm kidding, good for them. Just throwing some of the crap back that took place when IU did it.
  25. Aaron Craft losing some luster there.
