This is being linked just for the absurd level of emotion some people put into sports. I'm sure there will be some of these posted by distraught Hoosier fans if things go as expected Friday night. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja9iSiUYP_I&feature=youtu.be
Not sure how to handicap tonight's game. VCU is obviously going to bring a lot of pressure defensively. If IU can handle that pressure I think they take this due to having a superior offense. Haven't really seen anyone pick IU in this game, but I can understand that.
Not going to be able to catch the IU-VCU game live. The school I teach at is playing in the Indiana basketball semi-state against Yogi Ferrell's team. So I'll probably just have to monitor it on my phone. Do you Illini fans want VCU to lose to get closer to a Shaka resolution?
I think Dakich at times can be overly critical of IU, but he's in a tough spot. Probably trying not to come off as a homer. I think he does a decent job on air.
Did you guys know it was Dan Dakich's fault IU lost today? I'm exaggerating, but lots of "fans" didn't like some of his comments. My god people, get over it. I don't even remember him saying anything that bad. I guess I am just way too rational.
If it makes you feel better, you're are highest 3 right now. Though you'll probably drop a couple spots. IU? Or Michigan? According to what? I wouldn't consider them a 3.
I think Michigan is a 3 assuming they win. Wisconsin might get there as well with Marquette and Georgetown losing. IU had an outside shot if they could have went further, but that chance is gone.
You might be in with Marquette too. Although they might like battling brothers more than coach vs. old school. If a IU/UNC matchup does take place, I wonder if the parents would appreciate that they just have to go to one location, or be really pissed off.
Oh well. Look forward to Sunday night and see how things shake out. I think Indiana will be a 4 and I don't think the NCAA will be able to resist putting them in UNC's bracket. No guarantee they would make to the S16 though.
Abell played quite a bit that half. Haven't looked it up but it seems his minutes were about equal to Hulls. Not much Roth in the first half either. IU did a decent job of fighting back from being down 12. Can't afford to get too far behind Wisconsin.
He graduated from here. We are his dream job. I get that, and respect it. Good for him. But there is no comparison out there to that offer, alma mater or not.
Honest question, what is it about Howard that most Illini fans I know consider him to be such a prize? I'm not dogging him, I know he's a former player, is it all recruiting related?
