  1. Nyjer most likely stole to bases to piss the Marlins off but it's still playing baseball. Trying to hurt a player for something stupid like playing a game is kind of dumb.
  2. As a fan of a team that could have a shot to get to the title game I'm no so stoked about TCU winning this game (although you would think that any BCS team would jump TCU or Boise.).
  3. That was my logic when they played in the Fiesta Bowl.
  4. So who had a worst day between BCS conferences, the Big 12 or the Big East?I'll go with the Big 12 because the Big East is supposed to suck.
  5. What the hell happened to that program? They were never amazing but they've had some good years even within the past 10 years. Now they are one of the worst BCS conference teams I remember in a long time.
  6. Nebraska has probably been the most impressive (based off of score, I haven't watched any of their game) but do they count as Big 12 anymore?
  7. Either Michigan is much improved or the Big East is terrible. (UConn has been picked to win that conference by many people.)
  8. I wish the pollsters would have considered the lack of Tebow when they ranked Florida.
  9. I haven't watched too much but from what I've seen Illinois looks better. I'm surprised myself.
  10. I'd like to get excited about Iowa after this game but Eastern Illinois has no right competing against FBS teams. They look horrible.
  11. Yeah I don't see how Florida is the number 4 team.
  12. Thankfully I would lose that bet. I guess the game is still in doubt but I wouldn't mind him sitting out the rest of it. Defense is Iowa's strength but I would rather have Stanzi than not have him at this point. Plus Iowa is going to win this game. Eastern Illinois looks terrible at least according to FBS standards.
  13. Stanzi is hurt for Iowa. It concerns me a little but hopefully it's nothing serious although I'm more concerned when someone tweeks something as opposed to being hit. Hopefully Vandenburg can play like he did against Ohio State last year.
  14. Granted it's Eastern Illinois but after last years opening game it's nice to see Iowa playing like this.
  15. Sure did. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=txrangersprior Good on you, Mark. Sweet. One of my favorite non-Cubs teams. If I were Cubs GM I would sign him just for the hell of it.
  16. The hour before the first Saturday college football game might be the slowest hour ever.
  17. The back up QB behind Favre doesn't matter much. They'll probably need to worry about the QB next year but I'm sure they could find someone better then Sage or Jackson anyways. As much as it is said every year. Actually the back up for Favre could matter this year. I don't like to root for injuries but I kind of hope so.

  19. I'm kind of glad that happened so now I can sleep.
  20. I love college football being back. I just wish there were some competitive games on tonight. Oh well, wasn't expecting too much anyways. I am looking forward to the Hawaii/USC game more than I should be though.
  21. The best part of a baseball fight are the bullpens running out for no reason. The sight of an old fat relief pitcher slowly jogging to the pitchers mound is moderately amusing.
  22. White Sox broadcasters blaming the umps after losing a series to the Royals is pretty funny.
  23. I fell in love with the Cubs because of Sammy. Because of that I don't know if I love him or hate him.
  24. And two of those were against the Cardinals. At this point I want to beat the Cards and no one else. Raise that draft pick and help keep St. Louis out of the playoffs.
  25. My wife had a good time the first time I took here there. We were dating at the time. The date? July 20, 2004. Cubs blow an 8-2 lead after 3 innings to the Cardinals, Pujols goes deep 3 times and LaTroy Hawkins goes ape poopy. It certainly was an interesting ride home. Is that the same game Zambrano threw at Edmonds a bunch of times and got ejected? That was the game that kind of epitomized the 2004 Cubs.
