You do if your top player is LeBron, Kobe, or Wade. Rose is not the type of player who will be the man on a championship winning team. He is a great player, but not good enough to do that. If he has that jump shot down like he says (I'm skeptical until I see it) he may be.

The Cubs are still on my TV, more than 150 times a year because I HAVE DIRECTV i honestly don't understand why anyone who can get it doesn't. Because I don't feel like paying $180 to watch maybe half the games. There's so many on during the day that it's hard to justify paying that much for really so few games. My cable bill is way too high already. BUT MAN YOU REALLY NEED TO SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY YOU DONT HAVE AND GET IT EVEN AS JUST A STATUS SYMBOL TO TELL EVERYONE ON THE INTERNET HOW COOL YOU ARE!!! I think he stated pretty clearly that he doesn't understand why anyone who can get it doesn't. If you don't have the money to afford it that means you can't get it.

Yea, I'm in Cincy and that's pretty much it right there. They don't like us because we take over their park when the Cubs are in town, we have a high payroll, and we blame our futility on Bartman and a goat. I heard it all day today. They are the stereotypical redheaded stepchildren. Fairweather fans at their finest. It's brutal living in a town full of Reds fans, especially when the Reds are winning. I really hate living in this redneck town sometimes. Are there any Cubs fans actually blame losing on a goat or Bartman or does the media just create this? On another note, I suppose the media can be partially to blame for Cub hate. They play up the lovable loser crap and all that stuff and I suppose other fanbases probably get sick of that.

I love Lee but there would be worst things then receiving something for old declining relatively expensive players.

I don't care much but Byrd's play gives the NL homefield advantage in the World Series and the Reds have a chance to play in that. Byrd could have a hand in the Reds winning the World Series. You might want to at least tip your hat.

People have been saying that for about 90 years now. Well, they did have a stretch from the mid 60's to the mid 70's and from the early 80's to the early 90's where they weren't very good. The Yankees have been down before, but they always get right back up. Blips on the radar. Anyone hoping for Yankees to go through a sustained period of truly bad play are really longing for a serious outlier, especially with how they have their money set up now. The only way that they have a chance to suck is a salary cap. -

Home Run derby they do. From what I read on Wikipedia in the AL players have always worn their own jersey and the NL has wore their own jersey every year but the first one when the NL had specially made jerseys. I always liked that the players wore their own jerseys because it seems so unique.

Our sports kind of suck compared to the ones mentioned in this thread. I don't see how I could like baseball, basketball or American football if I didn't grow up with them and was presented with these options.

I am too actually. I thought I'd hate this super team thing but they've given me a reason to have some interest in the game. I'm sure non-Bulls fans always thought about the Bulls like I'm going to think about the Heat so this could be fun. Plus the Bulls should be pretty good this year too (they have a good chance to win their first division title in 12 years, which isn't the worst thing ever.) so that could be fun.

I'd imagine teams are going to try to be very physical with that team. It feels like the NBA vs the Heat and an injury to that team would be pretty bad with their lack of depth.

Seriously - he just made sure Jordan will always be regarded as the best ever. If the Lakers beat them in the finals a few times I almost think you'd have to call Kobe the best ever.

I rationalized so I'm happy no matter what tonight. LeBron to the Bulls would be awesome obviously. I'd be fine with the Heat or the Knicks because then he's at least out of the division and we would at least be able to win some division titles (obviously I'd rather see him go the Knicks because then the league would be more balanced giving the Bulls a shot. And I'd be ok with him staying in Cleveland because then the league would be more balanced (although Cleveland would be much better then the Bulls). The only real scenario where I see the Bulls having a shot at the title though would be the obvious one. If he signs here.

Here's to LeBron being a showman (which he definitely is) and pulling a surprise announcement to the Bulls tomorrow.

If LeBron goes to Miami the league becomes even more predictable then usual. I will also be cheering for the Lakers for the first time in my life when they meet in the Finals for the next 5 years or so.

For what it's worth, I'm all but convinced he's leaving Cleveland now. This just seems like a "Yes, I'm leaving and breaking your hearts but I'm still totally committed to the community, SEE!?" To me, I think it's down to NY, Miami, or Chicago. And out of those three, I still think Chicago is the most attractive place for LeBron. Or, at least, it should be. If he goes to Miami, sure, he'll have Wade and Bosh - but that's all he'll have. It will be Wade, Bosh, James, and a bunch of minimum salary nobodies. If he comes to Chicago on the other hand, he has Rose, Noah, and enough money left to still get another max guy. That said, I still doubt he comes here. :x It could really be NY. My goodness. I just don't like to see NY win at much of anything :( Life is a sunny day when NY fails, IMO. I really think it's the Knicks. I don't think he'd win much there but everything he's done lately, including the press conference just has a I'm going to New York feel too it.
