  1. Wait till Lebron stays in Cleveland or goes to Miami. And watch it freaking explode if he goes to NY. And then Boozer signs with New Jersey and Lee with Minnesota or something. This could be disastrous. It's already a significant failure even if Boozer does come here. Actually I'm not sure it changes much whether or not Booz/Lee comes here. On one hand, you get better to the point where you can win a few more games and land a better seed. But certainly not enough to contend. On the other hand, you keep your salary flexibility if they don't (presumably -- new CBA looming). Once you lose out on the top tier guys, I can't say it's more of a disaster to then also miss out on the 2nd tier guys. Only the top cream really matters in this league. We're not getting LeBron and we certainly wont be bad enough to be winning lotteries (yeah NBA hell). Hopefully Rose develops into a star player and the Bulls can be a high seed each year and hope to pull off an upset. Maybe being a potentially strong defensive team will help. Personally I'd rather sign Lee because he's younger.

  3. I wish the Bulls weren't so quiet. The more I read the more disheartened I get. I hope Bulls silence=good things. I'm just hoping they know something we don't.
  4. I am done thinking LeBron's coming. I'm begging for Wade and Bosh now.
  5. I'm feeling pretty good about Wade's interest in Chicago. It seems he is thinking this over pretty strongly because of them. You have to imagine he's having a hard time thinking about what he would say to his kids in a few years when he picked Miami and seeing them less when he could have picked Chicago and been around him more.
  6. The Bulls seem quiet and I hope that means they were told something positive by James yesterday.
  7. My optimism is taking a beating today. Hopefully I'm reading too much into things.
  8. I'd rather keep Lou out of the two (not advocating it though). There is no reason to keep Hendry once the season is over.
  9. Absolutely shocking that you say this after he thinks it's possible or likely that the Bulls get shut out. It's just like the idiot Iowa fans who freak out when someone like Jesse Palmer says something negative about Iowa. Then he's an idiot who just wants attention and has no clue what he's talking about. But some goof like Mark May is "classy and does his homework" because he loves Ferentz. I'm going to laugh when LeBron signs with the Cavs and I read you saying that LeBron doesn't care about winning and will never win anything. No really, Ric Bucher is an idiot Yep and so is Jesse Palmer and Mark May.
  10. Ballsy as hell but it really does punch the Jordan legacy thing right in the face.
  11. Most anticipated meeting ever?
  12. What's awesome is I'm pretty sure a scenario like this actually went through my head.
  13. I am quite skeptical myself of his desire to be here but I'd have to imagine that the concept of coming home and winning a championship would be a bit desirable.
  14. But it's freaking Rose, Wade and Lebron. If there's a trio that you don't mind being a little backcourt heavy with, that's probably it. I know. I'd get over it really quickly.
  15. I'd actually be a little concerned if it was Wade and LeBron. I wouldn't complain too much but that would be a little too backcourt heavy and unconventional for my liking.
  16. It's a matter of opinion. I think it is fair to say, Jordan doesn't win a title without Pippen in Chicago, thus shared partnership. I don't think they are related. Pippen was a huge part of the success, but that was Jordan's team. Everyone knew he ran the show. I think Pippen was vastly underrated for a long time (not so much now I don't think) because he was with MJ.
  17. If they weren't so selfish, they'd all take 1M to play for the Bulls. You really think whether Lebron is in Cleveland or Chicago makes a big difference in his endorsements? why else do you think Mark Price's endorsements were lower than Michael Jordan's? On the flip side Craig Ehlo has probably been in about the same amounts of commercials as Jordan
  18. Yeah, I googled him last night for some reason and was surprised that he played somewhere.
  19. i don't think people really thought he would opt out Late in the season it was expected that he would opt out for the payday. No one seems to think there's much chance of him Dallas. He likes it there, he's the man there and Cuban treats him (and the rest of the team well) and has been loyal to him. People don't think he's all that interested in starting over somewhere as the #2, even if that gets him closer to a title. He would be ideal alongside Wade or James though. You never know though. Dirk's best chance at a title is probably going to be somewhere else, he might realize that this will be his best chance to move and do it.
  20. I don't think anything like this has ever happened in sports.
  21. Does Reinsdorf go to Akron with GarPax, Rose, Noah, and Thibodeau? http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/ct-spt-0630-bulls-chicago--20100629,0,6952391.story that article says they're trying to get pippen to go with them, which would be pretty huge imo, especially after the wade comments. it also says the hawks might offer joe johnson the 6/126 max, which would be absolutely hilarious. Pippen going to with would be sweet. I wish Jordan didn't own a team so he could go to (not that he would or anything but It would be cool to have MJ meet with LBJ). If your JJ do you take that max deal with no hope of winning a championship or do you take a smaller deal and go to someone like the Bulls (assuming the Bulls can become a contender when all of this is over.)
  22. After thinking for a bit would a Heat team with Bosh, Wade, LeBron and a bunch of crap be that much better then the Lakers?
  23. If the Bulls don't get someone big (LeBron, Bosh, etc.) I don't know how I can watch them with no knowledge that they'll sniff a title for a while (unless they sign Carmelo next year). I mean I won't not watch them. I always watch the Bulls, but I'd be pretty down knowing that the next few years are going to be dominated by one super team. Similar feeling when the Celtics got together but at least then I knew it would only be a couple year run and the Bulls weren't really in a position to compete for a title. If the Miami super team happens I don't know if I could watch the Bulls anymore (and I do enjoy watching them even when they suck) because there really wouldn't be any point. No body would beat that team.
  24. Lou trying to explain his managerial decisions is kind of awesome to watch.
  25. The Royals also have a ton of talent coming. And Alex Gordon OPSing aroun 1.100 at AAA. They are a good GM hire away from being pretty good. Id take Billy Butler and his record setting GIDP pace over any hitter on the Cubs. I've been a Billy Butler fan for quite some time now.
