Gruden was a good football coach (he pretty much had two teams play each other in the Super Bowl so you figure he had to be good) but dammit you wouldn't know that listening to him talk about the game.

I'm ready for this game too. The Packers like to blitz so I expect the Bears to throw plenty of screens. -
The last three of four series should be somewhat fun. We get to help decide the NL West race and we get the Cardinals one more time. I'm somewhat excited for the end of the month. At least as excited as I can get for meaningless baseball (for the Cubs at least.)

Iowa is actually ranked higher at this point after a loss then they were last year when they were undefeated thus meaning they have a better chance at the BCS title now then they did last year at this point. Rankings are kind of stupid this early.

The Bears/Packers game next week looks to be pretty big for a week 3 game.

I'm pissed off. Iowa played awful. They could still make a run at the Rose Bowl but they won't beat Ohio State playing like they did tonight.

Iowa with a nice fake rally (or a successfully completed rally but then choking away the lead after tying it.)

If Iowa played special teams halfway like they have in the past they are winning this easily. As it is though I'm happy with it being tied. I really hope their defense can hold here.

Yeah, but you can't count on the Packers finding that guy. I sure as hell hope they do, but it's not a guarantee. This week should certainly be interesting, personnel-wise for the Packers. Sure they can....lose your franchise QB, oh here's another one down on your depth chart. The Packers always find that player they need. It's weird that you said that after referencing 2005 when they went 4-12.

I hate that Grant is done for the year but in 2007 he kind of came out of no where. As long as the passing game is what it's supposed to be there is no reason that some no name guy can't be dependable along with Jackson when the running game won't be teams number one focus. The thing is, if the passing game isn't as good as it was supposed to be I the Packers probably wouldn't have won the Super Bowl with Grant anyways. So losing Grant sucks but they should be ok I'd think.
