There's no doubt in my mind that if any deal goes through for Peavy, Vitters will be included. Same here. And I have a feeling the Padres may hold onto Greene so Ronny also wouldn't be a piece they need.

He's a beat writer for the Mariners I believe. But he has connections/ sources within other organizations.

I wouldn't trade A-Ram. It's hard to find a good third baseman these days. Lee I wouldn't want to trade but if it meant getting Peavy and we'd be able to find a way to get another outfielder and replace Lee without hurting the offense, I'd go for it. That said, it may be hard to pull off.

My friends who are Pirates fans hate him. They want him gone too. I feel bad for them, I really do. That organization sucks. But hey, they signed two Indian dudes who have only been playing baseball for a year. Gotta hand it to em. -

I wasn't talking about defense, even if was playing in left field. His OBP was .300 last year. Yeah, his 08 was pretty bad. I'd only take him in a trade if we didn't give up much and the Royals picked up a hefty portion of his contract, which they won't.

Payroll relief. Ellsbury is probably ready to play CF everyday with this move, and it frees up money to outbid the Yankees for a SP. But that's why they got rid of Crisp, which I understand. But why Ramirez in return? Cheap bullpen help is always a good thing. They weren't going to get much for Crisp. Yeah, that's actually a pretty decent return for Crisp. So, DeJesus, Gathright, Crisp.... Are the Royals trying to build the least powerful outfield in the majors? -
