  1. That's a bit high, but he's been fairly consistent the past few years.
  2. Definitely not. He's the definition of untouchable for the O's. If Tampa called and said they would trade David Price straight up for him I am sure the O's would do it. I'm not sure they would It would be a start.
  3. I saw that. Not that what he says really matters. He's just speculating and going off stuff we've all heard.
  4. I have friends who are O's fans and they're ok with this. They know he sucks, but they wanted an actual shortstop and stability at the position. They were fed up with the rotation there last year which included the great Brandon Fahey.
  5. Yeah, he's an interesting option, but I wouldn't trade that package for him. And we'd have to blow the Pirates away with an offer to get McLouth. Why not? Pie and Hill are apparently both completely dead to Lou, and Marquis is a guy they're trying their darnedest to dump. I may be alone, but I think Pie still has more trade value. If it were Hill, Marquis and a lower level prospect, then yes I'd pull the trigger.
  6. Yeah, he's an interesting option, but I wouldn't trade that package for him. And we'd have to blow the Pirates away with an offer to get McLouth.
  7. We wouldn't be making a huge deal over this if we did more than acquire Gregg and re-sign Demp. This is a boring offseason.
  8. Quoted for originality and RTFLMAO Yeah, that did make me laugh.
  9. Yeah he definitely doesn't usually post a good OBP. He's a speed goof. Yeah, I just looked at his stats. He didn't this year and hasn't posted great ones in the majors, but still posted a .389 mark in the minors. I guess it really doesn't mean much.
  10. Well, he's got great speed, a good glove, and usually posts a decent OBP. On the other hand, he has no power and won't ever be a great hitter. He's not a bad 5th outfielder.
  11. At this point, I don't think counseling would do anything to a trash-talking, fashion-loving d-bag like Avery.
  12. Why should Avery be banned forever? He shouldnt have even been suspended. Of course Dallas should have never signed him to that ridiculous contract either. I'm a hater.
  13. I haven't posted in this thread in awhile, so... Go Devils, Crosby sucks, Avery should be b& forever. Or run over by a bus.
  14. QFT Whatever you guys want to believe, no team is gonna sign Bonds.
  15. If he can get 400 at bats, I'm cool with it. His health is an issue, but I think we can give him days off here and there to preserve his health. Fukudome and Johnson are both capable of moving over and let's not forget DeRosa could play on Bradley's off days with Fontenot playing second.
  16. The Mets are interested but I think they're waiting to see how the market shapes up.
  17. Here's the way I see it: Padres can't really afford to keep Peavy. Towers knows this Peavy really only wants to go to the Cubs, maybe a West Coast team. Eventually Towers is gonna realize he has to do something and cave in. It's a matter of time, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
  18. Schowenweis in his career has allowed lefties to hit .224 off him and righties .294. This season, lefties only hit around .170 off him. Might be an interesting LOOGY option, but I doubt he'd be used that way and I don't know what his contract looks like.
