  1. l;dfkja;ldjf;askdfkldsjaf;dslk Well if we sign Bradley, trade Marquis and maybe do something else, I'll get over it. I know we didn't really need him him but I wanted Peavy. I guess it's good we didn't overpay and JH wouldn't let himself get jerked around.
  2. Apparantly not. Maybe it's because no one is typing in green.
  3. Did he mention trading our starting SS for some young unknown kid named Sandberg?
  4. He gets an out-clause after 3 years. Still a horrible contract, no matter how good he is.
  5. I don't want to get excited, yet. I'm gonna wait and see. We heard a deal was close yesterday and the rumor was shot down and nothing materialized.
  6. Wait...what?
  7. That's what I saw when I woke up this morning.
  8. I had Chinese food for dinner and got the following fortune in my fortune cookie: "Good news will come to you from far away." Is this a good sign?
  9. I won't mind rooting for Wood on the Indians. At least it's an AL team. :( One that routinely plays against the White Sox. And one that comes to Wrigley Field from June 19-21. How weird would that be? He'd get a standing ovation the first time he took the mound. That will last the duration of his appearance. At least I'd keep cheering for him.
  10. So count on Fielder being a Brewer next year? Exactly
  11. Get Bradley signed! Please! How's his character been? I'm not the biggest believer in clubhouse chemistry, but that guy is a stark raving nutcase. I hope he doesn't lose his cool, because I fear for anyone around him at that time. He's still a hot-head. But apparantly last year he became a better teammate and a clubhouse leader and was a mentor to Hamilton.
  12. Brewers are considering trading Fielder, according to Steve Phillips.
  13. Levine said on ESPN2 that he wouldn't be surprised to see Bradley sign a 2-3 year deal worth $7-10 million per year with the Cubs. They have asked him about his health, he added.
  14. Levine on ESPN: -says trade may not happen this week but still thinks it gets done -says to keep eye on Milton Bradley. Cubs are talking to him. Says Cubs are front-runner and wouldn't be surprised if they signed him to a 2 or 3 year deal for $7-10 million per. Cubs asked about his health.
  15. Peter Gammons says the Cubs are optimistic this still gets done but nothing appears close yet. Not really anything new.
  16. I would have puked a bit if we made that trade.
  17. Don't say I didn't tell you so when the Yankees surprisingly jump into the Peavy sweepstakes (but if they don't, please conveniently forget I said this) They're looking at Lowe, Sheets, and Burnett. I doubt they get involved. I hope.
  18. A Hot Stove Special is on ESPN2 at 5 pm EST. Probably will be boring and nothing new but I figured I'd let people know anyway.
  19. Son of a..... Is anyone sure this isn't the BR thread?
