  1. You're right. As a GM, he's supposed to put his team in a position to win. He hasn't done that, ever. You're also making half your arguments on moves made this off-season. Personally, I find it hard to judge future performance, but that's just me.
  2. Just walked by. The Red Wings are practicing on the ice right now. The rink looks cool with the layer of brick on the outside of the boards to match Wrigley.
  3. I can't wait. We rented a party bus when the Badgers played Ohio State at Lambeau. It was a blast of a time....but was kinda hard to view. We were about fifteen rows from the top and had a pretty good view, but I knew some people who got like 8th row and couldn't see over the players/beyond the glass. Again, that was college and not the pros, and it was a solid 4 years ago, so hopefully things have changed. I'm wondering how the camera angles will be for TV.
  4. I've always been suspicious of Warner, even though he's obviously been a horse this year. I'd go with Cassel at home. I'd also go with Foster. The Rams defense is gutless against the run. gracias No problem. I still need convincing that I should play Lance Moore over Edwards. I paid to pick the guy up. In my league after 10 FA pickups you have to pay in $6 for each move. Cash goes to the winner. So I might get it back. But still. Since I paid for that mofo he has turned in two crappy weeks. I'd go Moore. better QB, playing a worse defense. I bet he gets back into the mix.

  6. Been killing myself over who to start at qb. Warner or Cassell. They play each other in NE. Also, would Foster starting at StL take Choice's flex spot vs. Balt at home.
  7. I didn't get any letter about it. I got welcome letters when we moved in, and how to get people towed from our spots during games, but not a letter about skating. Angggry. "Sir, did you know you are not drinking regular coffee, but Columbian coffee crystals?"
  8. V is the Roman numeral for 5. I've never heard anyone pronounce it as Rule V. Stop being Kyle. Except that using V is incorrect. When you make a reference to a document, as this does, you cite the section correctly. In this case, this is Rule 5 of the Collective bargaining agreement. It's a specific reference -- Rule 5. The Amateur Draft is Rule 4, FYI. True. It does look weird to call it the Rule V when its the Rule 5. It's not like when people ask how many HRs Soriano hit last year they respond XXIX interchangeably with 29. I wonder why Rule V has been misused so much. Haha, whoever was talking about drinking games a day or two ago, that would be a great rule. Can't say numbers, must refer in roman numerals.
  9. I'd be happy to go pick him up so that I can spend 4 1/2 hours debating the strengths of Jason Marquis. What's to debate? best pinch-runner in the league. He would be so lucky to only pay $9.8
  10. Goodbye Mark. Ummm ... reading skills? He read it correctly. Carrie Muskat is the most accurate reporter evaaaaaahhhh
  11. I think he means the Zambrano extension signing Oh, that. It was similar. All season long, there were talks, and then it was tabled, and then silence, and then I remember listening to a game on the radio fairly late in the season, and they announced the extension. And announced here the night before by
  12. I know he said he was going to call WGN this morning...he still planning on doing it at noon?
  13. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOT ONE 528 row 2
  14. Sandberg jersey/shirt on top Cubbie-blue zubaz on the bottom
  15. It's mid to upper 50s and overcast, but no call for rain.
  16. Took a run around the stadium last night. Eerily quiet, even for a Tuesday night. Tis the calm before the storm.
  17. I know this program pretty well. As upset as I was at the time of not scoring TDs, I was feeling fine at 19-0. Talk about crap'n the bed. I asked this in the middle of this thread somewhere and didnt see if any Badger fans answered. How is that Clay kid not getting more carries? Hill is just getting him what his line is hammering out. That Clay kid ran the ball twice that I seen and look incredible. I think a little more Clay and the Badgers score a couple of more TDs instead of FGs. Don't ask me at all. Everytime people ask me about PJ Hill, I tell them the same thing: He's not even the best RB on the team. Hasn't been for 3 years, skill-wise. For the past 2 years, Lance Smith was the best running back. Similar to Clay, but not as physical and a little faster. Clay's a redshirt freshman who's an absolute beast. I think he was the #4 RB coming out of high school 2 years ago. Not many RB's have that combination of power and speed. I don't know how much say Bielema has in the play calling, I think Chryst handles most of it, but they love to wear teams down with Hill in the first 3 quarters, sprinkle in a little Brown/Clay, and then use Brown/Clay heavily in the 4th. They love getting the fresh legs in there. So I think Bielema/Chryst want to bring Clay along slowly (I don't know why, maybe just giving Hill his due), and use him as an offset to PJ later in the game. Brown is an fine back, but doesn't have PJ's size/power or Clay's combination. I really hope Clay is getting 15 touches a game by the end of the season. Hill is good, but more a product of the system. He really is just the next Ron Dayne, who has done great in the NFL. I can't wait until Clay gets the majority of the touches.
  18. I know this program pretty well. As upset as I was at the time of not scoring TDs, I was feeling fine at 19-0. Talk about crap'n the bed. I don't know how you couldn't feel ok with that lead... College football:NFL Badgers:Bears It makes it easier for me to watch the 2 leagues because I have the same expectation of doom and gloom that no matter how good we could be we have just as good of a chance to blow it.

  20. August 10th, 1988 http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN198808100.shtml The immortal vance law held down third, with Mitch Webster roaming center.. They had some other crappy players too. ryne something, mark whatever, andre, and a pitcher that looked like a professor.
  21. No two ticket limit? edit: I got 3 sets, but used 3 different names and information (myself, brother, mom)
  22. I'm in 341 row 2, seats 111-112. Be sure to keep it down back there ;) You're directly behind me. I got 341, row 1, seats 110 and 111
  23. I got two for myself (341, row 1), two for my brother, and my roommate got two.
