  1. Also, PJ Hill isn't the best RB on Wisconsin's team. John Clay is. A beast, and the next great college RB.
  2. I'm thrilled that I will be at this game! Go Dogs! I'll have family there but can't make it myself. I'm expecting a tooth and nail game, although I'd personally love a blow out (for the Badgers, of course) I definitely don't see a blowout by either side. I don't know how long you've been a Wisconsin fan, but Fresno State and Wisconsin played each other in 2001 and 2002 at Camp Randall, with Fresno winning in 2001 (a game I had the pleasure of attending) and Wisconsin barely winning in 2002. This Fresno team is better overall than either one of those two teams... although the same can be said for Wisconsin, so this should be a great matchup. All I know is we have to stop Hill and then take it from there. If you read, I said I expect a tooth and nail game, although I would love a blowout. Been a Wisconsin fan my whole life. My two favorite Wisconsin games I've been at: When Brees set the NCAA record with 83 passing attempts in one game only to throw pick 6 to Jamar Fletcher in late in the 4th and sat 6th row for the Badgers ending OSU's 19 game winning streak in 2003 and rushing the field.
  3. Cooperstown has already cleared some space between Ruth and Joe Crede.

  5. I really like this game, do you guys play OSU this year? We got quite a stretch to start the Big Ten Schedule. 9/27 at Michigan, 10/4 vs OSU, 10/11 vs PSU, 10/18 at Iowa, and 10/25 vs ILL. Lucky to have OSU, PSU, and IL all at home. And I'll be at Camp Randall every time.
  6. Big game this week for the Badgers, traveling out west to play under the lights at #21 Fresno State. I'm thrilled that it's on the deuce. Let's win this game the only way we know how: get physical at the lines. F'em Bucky.
  7. Me too. Kind of like waking up on christmas morning. Thanks Dusty Claus! I've said "Thank You" to Dusty more times this year than his entire tenure as the Cubs coach.
  8. Lottery system allows a large amount of people to enter over a long period of time. VWR, through some question it (and maybe rightly so), rewards those who actually pay attention and set their schedule around trying to get tickets on a single day at a single time. This is BS and doesn't reward real fans. Fairness? yeah, right.
  9. 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Let's see if the Badgers can get 3 100 yard rushers this time.

  11. Game 3 of the 1st series is going to be a pain for me. The girl will want to watch U of I-Michigan during the game. And I got my tickets for Wisconsin-OSU that night. ugh.
  12. I don't know? I thought the reference was about 10 years too late as well. I mean, if he said the Roger Federer of Assholes, I woulda known what he meant. Entirely besides the fact that he tried to reference tennis during a baseball game. I mean, Babe Ruth of Assholes woulda been nice.
  13. So, just got back from the game. Funny thing happened... The guy behind us the entire game is being the epitome of why cubs fans get bad reps. He keeps talking, very stupidly mind you, about his girlfriend, McCain's running mate, etc. Nothing about baseball at all. No real knowledge of anything, all superficial. Then, when Marmol comes in, he goes "Man, I wish we didn't bring him in. He's just not reliable." It's at this point when I can't hold my tongue. I turn around and go "You do realize he has a .40 era since the all-star break and has only given up 4 hits in 19 innings." And he makes some comment like oh, i'm sorry, I didn't realize you were a mathamatician, blah blah blah. To which I respond "No, I'm not a mathematician. I'm an actual fan. It's guys like you the give Cubs fans a bad name." He then called me the "Pete Sampras of assholes." All I had to say was: I don't have his chest hair. Anyways, good win. Two thumbs up for the bullpen.

  15. I would absolutely take you up on that if I weren't working. Heineken's and Home Improvement right now. You're missing out.
  16. Anyone need one? Got 4, only 3 of us going. PM me.
  17. But he had him easily Not guaranteed. There's a guarantee out at first. And with 2 outs now, they can pitch around Howard. That worked out well. Hindsight. Plain and simple. It's the top of the first. 0-0 game. You take the out.

  19. FWIW... This Cubs Tribute CD has all the great songs every Cubs fan knows by heart, including Steve Goodman's Cubs victory song, "Go Cubs Go". The CD also includes Harry Caray singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame", Chicago's own The Ides of March singing "Finally Next Year", and The Romantics with the tune you hear at Wrigley Field during every home game, "What I Like About You". Other tracks include... * Go Sammy! - (Sammy Sosa Home Run Montage) * A Little Grace (Mark Grace Hits 5 Homers In 7 Games) * Beck Gets #50! - (September 26, 1998 Vs Astros) * Kerry Mows 'Em Down! - (May 6, 1998 Vs Astros) * Dance To The Music - Sly & The Family Stone * Cubs To The Playoffs! - (September 28, 1998 Vs. Giants) * Sosa Day! - (Sammy Sosa Day Excitement)
  20. Damn you. I still always feel like I'm one of the youngest people around. Makin me feel old. There's plenty of younger college kids in here. And then there's Ski, at 16, who caused me to leap for the foe button immediately after his first post. Edit: not due to age, but upon his lack of value upon any subject and most of his posts are followed by everyone else correcting him or rebutting him.
