  1. he had been in your minors illegally for several weeks. nobody's expecting you to check your roster for these types of things every hour, but I don't think doing so on a weekly (or so) basis is asking too much. I was nice enough to let you keep ozuna without penalty after you had him illegally stashed in your minors for three months despite it being brought to your attention multiple times that he was not eligible, so I don't think it's overly harsh for me to drop de la rosa.
  2. can't be any more damaging to your career than an era of 5.00 at age 30.
  3. Yes. But I get the sense half of you wouldn't trade the Astros for the Angels right now. I honestly don't think you would. Even if PTR is broke and they [expletive] up the future TV rights, there's enough young talent already here to go on a Tampa type run, never breaking 100 mill in payroll. that's what we're hoping/shooting for?
  4. i need some evidence one way or the other indicating wood was not scheduled to pitch. I own him in a yahoo league and he was shown as the sunday starter by saturday at the latest.
  5. yeah lol at the 20 games over .500 angels. bunch of idiots. if only they had their [expletive] together like the perennially last place cubs.
  6. 3 starts
  7. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL
  8. i mean, yeah, the collection of minor league talent they have is unprecedented, I suppose. but so is a huge market team literally tanking like four seasons in a row. it just makes it a little harder for me to get super duper excited about every minor league box score. granted, it's all we have at this point...
  9. oh no this mendy thing is catching on
  10. I highly doubt it. What the Cubs are doing is very rare for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is deliberately holding guys down and therefore not graduating them from prospect status. who have they really held down? Bryant? i mean, yeah, he's destroying every level, but he hasn't even been in professional baseball for a year. mainly it's the combination of a smart front office having extremely high draft picks and devoting a huge percentage of assets (and money if you go back to soler) to the minors. and some luck with who has been available to them. but mostly the intentional losing.
  11. ugh i hope the cubs are good soon. this is embarrassing.
  12. But people are saying that Soler fell because of injuries therefore Buxton has to fall because of injuries. It's a huge leap. Not really, if you believe wrist injuries are far more concerning to a hitters' long term success than broken shins and hamstring sprains. I wouldn't even drop Buxton lower than, say, 3 (behind Correa and Bryant). So you are whining about a lack of falling by 2 spots? welcome to the minor league forum.
  13. i mean for crying out loud, how long do i have to wait before someone posts the cubs info from BA's top 50?
  14. more like buston.
  15. yeah our 24 yr old .800 ops-ing ss "just doesn't get it."
  16. the app is terrible. I usually just go to the website on my phone to make lineup changes. I made those changes for you. I put peralta in your lineup (he doesn't have another start this week) to avoid you having too many people on your bench and getting zero points for the day. PLEASE look at this to make sure it is how you want it.
  17. my friend swears his nickname is mendy which i've never heard and it annoys me greatly.
  18. parks, obviously. there are probably more mentions of that dork on this board than soler.
  19. he's "wrong" to not be super high on a guy that has played in like 60 games the last two seasons? you guys are pathetic with your obsession over this guy.
  20. yeah, i can't figure out how so much power comes from bryant just based on his stance. he just doesn't look right.
  21. actually reading back through this, I do seem to half remember that the rule was he had to stay on your mlb roster the whole season...does anyone have any links?
  22. I'm reluctant to side with tim because I know he'll interpret that as him convincing me or tricking me or something, but it sounds like the guy was on the mlb roster on opening day, correct? I mean, if I'm missing something, let me know.
