  1. i wanted to keep you in the chat room as long as possible so i could board the windows and get my family into the panic room.
  2. i really wish you could go back and read all the stuff in chat to see which one of us truly "flipped out."
  3. hey psychopath, i'm not throwing a hissy fit about anything. did i say it was against the rules or that you were getting docked points? calm the [expletive] down weirdo.
  4. I left a guy on the DL for six days after he was un-DL'ed in real life and made a start and then activated him to make a fantasy start?
  5. [expletive] kstate and their stupid shotgun qb sneak
  6. and I don't really care...just thought it was kinda funny since it seemed like the kind of thing you would flip out about.
  7. congrats on meeting the bare minimum standard and not forcing me to remove a guy from your roster. I'm just glad you're the one that did it and not someone you were facing, sparing me from reading 26 pms from you asking that his entire season's worth of points be removed.
  8. the "rule" was created a) to prevent non playoff teams from interfering with the playoffs by picking up guys the playoff teams might want to use and b) to prevent the playoff teams from gaining an advantage by allowing them to nab some out of nowhere keeper that non playoff teams wouldn't have access to. it was NOT created to give playoff teams a 50 man playoff roster. I guess you can have the guys back that you stupidly dropped after the playoffs are over, but don't come crying to me if someone claims them on waivers and keeps them for their own playoff run. this "rule" will be changed next yr.
  9. so the playoffs should just be a frenzy of ramificationless adds/drops? how would you like it if, on Sunday, you and I had a close matchup and I saw that freeman was getting the day off so I dropped him (knowing I would get him back). then I lost but your next opponent picked up freeman (hey no skin off my back, I get him back for some stupid reason) and then freeman scores 40 pts against you in the semis?
  10. better put in a waiver claim then
  11. by the way, the rule is not that rosters "revert" back to today at the end of the season. it's that people can't keep players that are picked up after today (which is also kind of dumb).
  12. who are you wanting to pick up? I feel like this is definitely a trick of some sort.
  13. just so I'm clear, I had to have been ok with (enjoyed?) the last few years of being terrible in order to be allowed to enjoy the hypothetical winning in the future?
  14. have to wait for the drafts on those guys.
  15. steve, please drop him and i'll put him back on MR's roster.
  16. so glad raw decided to check back in with his team this week in what is a must win game for me after ignoring his team for weeks, losing to all the teams i'm competing with for a playoff spot. thanks buddy!
  17. this injury is as imaginary as his FIP.
  18. fascinating stat work.
  19. fine. but they still would have also traded samardzija for hamels (assuming the russell trade wasn't on the table).
  20. Noooope. Better pitcher? Sure. But Samardzija's market value blew Hamels' out of the water. well, that's crazy, but I guess we agree to disagree. Do you think Beane would have given up Russell for the right to pay Hamels $24M per year for the next 4 years? Do you think the Cubs will? Samardzija is a lesser pitcher, but the gap between their salaries was much bigger than the gap between their production. Also, Hamels' value now is artificially depressed due to the fact the Phillies can only deal with us. (And we aren't in a playoff hunt that could warrant an overpay) maybe to the cash-strapped a's, samardzija is a better fit than hamels, but I bet you the cubs would have traded samardzija to the phils for hamels if they had the chance.

  22. yeah, not saying i'd do russell for hamels, but hamels is waaaaaay more valuable than samardzija right now. not even close.
  23. I just wish the cubs could be the worst every year.
  24. Vogelbach is purposefully being treated as a trade chip that's a cut below, no? And while he's not some trump card, he's also got an OPS 90 points above the league average, so he's not tanking at Daytona either. there are lots of guys that aren't "tanking" the level they're at. doesn't mean anyone wants to trade for them. he needs to be a 30 hr guy to have value. he's shown no ability to do that.
