  1. i'm not saying he's not worth the headaches, but i bet he's not best buds w/ everyone on the team.
  2. i really wonder what zambrano's teammates think of him. do you think lee appreciates his public backing of young? or do you think the rest of the team likes him talking about siging w/ the white sox/cardinals? or all the talk he made about individual awards? or the punching people in the face? or the grand gestures he makes toward guys on the field?

for the love of all things holy, please acknowledge my existence...i'm begging you.
  4. honestly, someone pull an executive order or something and get this man in the nsbb tourney!
  5. actually, there's plenty of fair statistical comparison...and it all says that you're wrong...but hilarious.
  6. well, like i said in my rejection, you're a game ahead of me in the division and i know you need a closer. if you think i'm going to do your team a favor, you're crazy. if i'm going to make a trade w/ you, i have to feel like i'm really, really getting the better end of the deal. think about it from my perspective...why would i help fill a hole for one of my biggest rivals when all i'm getting in return is a guy (beltre) i wouldn't even be able to use? and capps has outscored rivera by a huge margin this season. I'm laughing now cuz Matt just showed me what you offered him. That has to be one of the worst deals I've ever seen.. lol! he seemed like he was in a generous mood that day, so i took a shot.
  7. deal. if you won't pretend that theriot's success for one month will definitely translate to him being good for the rest of the season.
  8. boy, if the cubs' fifth best starter truly was one of the top 10 starters in the NL, the cubs would be really good.
  9. wow, that's ridiculous. no way i'm voting for zambrano.

  11. the cubs, on the other hand, have a tendency to really start kickin' a right around september and totally not choke.
  12. Thats nice to know, but too bad most of that is from his unbelievable start. yeah, and the worst part about it is those wins don't even count on the cubs' record now. thanks for nothing, rich hill.
  13. and i release gaudin just in time for him to flirt with a no-no against the yankees.
  14. and i'm interested in trading one of my RP, but not to one of my biggest rivals in my division and not for a second rate prospect or adrian beltre's lukewarm corpse. :D
  15. ninth try is a charm.
  16. the walks and the hit batter were the worst of what he did today. the homer to mench was really the only ball that was hit super hard. the foul balls are just a mystery. it doesn't tell me that he had bad stuff, as he wasn't really getting hit hard...he did have a bunch of k's and three of the hits he gave up were infield hits/pop-ups. plus, he was around the zone enough to give up 39 foul balls, so it wasn't like he was extremely wild. he never looked awful (walking people/giving up bombs), but he never really looked comfortable either. just a weird day all around for him.
  17. is it too late to get this guy in the nsbb tourney?
  18. No it's not a joke. i don't know who you are or where you came from, but i would like to play fantasy baseball with you for large amounts of money.
  19. do you really think trading the last man off the bench that gets one ab every three days is going to upset a winning streak? come on.
  20. injured willits to the bench, fontenot to U.
  21. i'm just glad rich hill didn't ruin the cubs' season.
  22. yeah, with pie struggling and ss being a question mark, the cubs are likely in trouble offensively.
  23. good for his dumps. too bad he hasn't thrown any baseballs with more talent than rich hill yet. Oh yeah I would much rather have Rich Hill than Felix. I really wish Rich Hill was close to the pitcher you think he is. sorry, i thought you valued pitchers on whether they had completed a full year of good pitching. I do, but I also defer to age. When you haven't had a good year at 20, it's because you are young and getting established. When you haven't had one at age 28 it's because you couldn't beat out Glendon Rusch to get a big league spot. yeah, great argument. rusch clearly outpitched hill during that period. man, your arguments are awful.
  24. that's just flat not true. if he had nothing, they'd be hitting the balls all over the field...which they're not doing. take your sweet time, aramis. And if he had something, they would be missing more pitches. You can't tell me the high rate of foul balls has nothing to do with the lack of stuff/command he has today. he doesn't have his best stuff, as evidenced by some shaky control and the home run. i would say lots of foul balls means he has good enough stuff to not get hit hard, but not good enough stuff to finish guys off. he does have five k's in three innings, so his stuff must be semi-decent.
