thanks for the scouting reports, geniuses. hill was, without a doubt, the best cubs pitcher from mid-2006 through 2007. that's a long period of time and a lot of starts (40+). and he was unquestionably great during that time. i realize he's had problems this year, but they are talking about him like he's some kind of project who has never had any kind of success...and it seems as though the chances of him making it back to the big league team by the ASB are virtually none. i completely understand that he's struggled this year. without a doubt. but if any other team demoted and subsequently buried a guy who had been their best starter over the span of 1 1/2 seasons after really only two bad starts, people here would be scratching their heads. but because he's on the cubs, everyone wants immediate results and has no patience, and his demotion doesn't seem strange.
