six straight w's for the hand sanitizers, who should get a boost from soriano's return and liriano's inevitable call up (20 ip, 10 h, 0 er, 24 k's in his last three starts). only one game out of first!
Crossed the line? Are they making dead mother jokes? 9/11 cracks? Is it just one giant Aristocrats sketch? as told by Bob Saget It's more like "going to be fun when Harden hits the DL and all the Cub fans start crying" kind of comments. you have a very low (shallow? quick? what am i looking for here?) line.
Jeter and its not particularly close. Just look at the RC. It's almost laughable. Theriot 2008 RC/G: 5.2 Jeter 2008 RC/G: 4.4 MCGOOBWNED Not even close. You cannot look at a half of a year's worth of data. Look at the runs created for their career each year. Jeter got off to a terrible start this year. yeah, and jeter's 34 years old.
That man has a tremendous amount of forehead. if the cubs hadn't traded gallagher and marquis sucked in the 2nd half, they'd go with marshall...who is the same guy they'll go with if marquis sucks in the 2nd half post-trade. i don't think he realizes the cubs got two pitchers for one.
It's exteremly tough to find that kind of data at rookie league games - MiLB.com lists it in their box scores for AAA and there are announcers and many fans at games at other levels who could keep track of that but that doesn't happen in the AZL. That info would have to come from the coaching staff, probably into a local Chicago rag's story on Hill. Or maybe AZPhil at the Cub Reporter could provide it, had he taken note of it. AZ Phil does a pretty good job reporting on such things. How do you know that? i'm assuming he can count. Have there been previous instances in which AZPhil has provided pitch counts? Was Vance there to validate the accuracy of the pitch counts? It just seems like an odd thing to say someone is good at. and i thought your previous arguments in this thread were pointless.
well, i'm not surprised i have three top 15 SP's, but i am surprised that they are duchscherer, dempster and danks. if you would have told me none of hill, wang and liriano would be on my roster in july, i'd have guessed that i'd be in last place.
Yes you're crazy for wishing we gave up more than we did. And for thinking that Hoffpauir will thrive anywhere as a full time player. i think LLF is hoffpauir's dad. that's the only thing that can explain his amount of hoffpauir love. What can I say, I think he has what it takes, he just needs the opportunity. he's like 37 years old.
i would agree with that. i just don't see this trade having the potential to bite the cubs in the ass. i guess gallagher has the highest ceiling of any of the guys leaving, and i don't see him as anything more than a #3. should have waited until after tonight's game so murton could hit against harang though.
