    he's likely going to have to finish a game ahead of me though. he's 600 points or so back of me and we split head to head.

    really pisses me off to lose by less than 10 this week. i'd have gone a long way to wrapping up a playoff spot with a win. two negative starts from sanchez and the duke did me in. before his start this week, the duke had given up more than 2 earned runs ONLY ONCE all year (and that was an outing in which he gave up just three, which is pretty impressive). if i end up tied with HBC for the last spot and i miss out on the playoffs due to H2H matchups it will be because nathan gave up two earned runs in week 6 during the sunday night game causing me to lose to HBC by less than two. that will make me angry. i still think i'll get in though. peavy was a big pick up for me.

    The real fun thing about it is that we all play each other in the last 5 weeks... Hopefully liriano comes on strong and stays uninjured in the last 5 weeks. Fixed. fixed.

    Just curious what you'd have offered? Davis is going to be a super stud. I made the offer today, Matt called and really liked it because of Davis... eh, if he's as high on davis as you apparently are, then he probably would have preferred what you gave him. i would have given him something similar to what i gave juan for peavy...probably would have made danks the main part. i guess i'm not that big on davis.

    Can you and Derwood just put each other on ignore already? The snide remarks back and forth are getting really old. really? that one's the tipping point? he made a pretty ridiculous comment about kids' skulls (?) being more durable (?) than adults' and i kinda called him on it with a little smart ass remark. if it was anyone besides me making that comment, you wouldn't have said a word.

    brett myers is that rare player that you can hate as a player and as a person. good for him.

    yeah, it's absurd that a guy who was possibly one of the top five pitchers in baseball when he got hurt and has been destroying AAA hitters for two months thinks he should be in the bigs.

    wow, did that russell martin trade suck. blanton's been terrible (and was just traded to a band box) while ubaldo has finally gotten it together and martin is martin. thankfully sanchez has been good and i was able to get doumit or it'd look even worse.

    if you're not convinced that chemisty is important after hearing that a 3-6-1 high school soccer team came together after it's first ever conference tie, i don't know what to tell you.

    The problem could solve its self if Soriano wouldnt be such a about it and bat in the heart of the lineup. how would that make ramirez, lee and soto hit better? It would make the lineup better in general. Theriot Fontenot vs. RHP/Johnson vs. LHP Lee Soriano Ramirez Fukudome Soto Edmonds vs. RHP/DeRosa vs. LHP Pitcher That lineup would produce ridiculous amounts of runs, especually when Lee, Ramirez, and Soto decide to play again i think the key to that would be lee, ramirez and soto deciding to play again. where soriano bats really doesn't matter.
