  1. man, there are some TERRIBLE points being made in that chat. wow.
  2. lol...jamie moyer is described as a "title craving stud."
  3. would webb really be able to throw three games in a seven game series w/o going on short rest at least once?
  4. i would think that he could be kept on your minor league roster. after all, that's where he's at when the season ends (presumably).
  5. We're going to be playing each other 2 weeks in a row.. Yippee! i think you'll beat me in the playoffs. i won't have anybody with two starts, so i'll have to start all my guys, regardless of matchups.
  6. by the way, that was my third game decided by less than two points.
  7. thank you, jay bruce, for the ever-elusive -4 point game as a position player. now the only bad part about me forgetting to start myers is that my chance of catching raw in points is out the window. glad i don't have to pay attention to my team this week.
  8. due to bruce's stellar game, i think i may have this one. however, i've gone to bed on sunday night thinking i had won before. if i lose to HBC by less than two points for the second time this year due to the sunday night game, i'm going to be pretty pissed.
  9. do you really think that could happen?
  10. pittsburgh sucks and i'm just hoping for 10 points.
  11. duch went to the DL, so i picked up suppan, who pitches tomorrow. duch was scheduled for a second start this week, so i'm pretty sure this move is OK (as suppan is just replacing the start i lost from duch). if not, somebody say something.
  12. and i never undersand how grown (?) men (?) literally act like five year olds denied a lollipop when their first place, slam dunk to make the playoffs baseball team gets behind 6-4 in the sixth inning of a virtually meaningless baseball game. yet it happens. Have you never watched a game with you buddies or at a bar, no matter how unimportant the game is and got pissed off when the team strokes it? It happens. no. that sounds like a miserable time.

  14. i wouldn't build my beer league softball team around aaron rowand. kevin kouzmanoff? really? kevin kouzmanoff?
  15. guys, i don't know if you've noticed this, but derwood kinda just bitches about everything. just leave him be.
  16. which you were forced, at gunpoint, to read. seriously though, when people are in here talking about how george brett sucked, something has to be done.
  17. I mentioned in my post that I don't always agree with sportswriters (especially about Santo), but I would hope that posters ought to agree that any player elected on the first ballot was a great player (and usually a great hitter). If posters can't agree that players like Carew, Boggs, Brett, etc. were great hitters, then I think their definition of a great hitter is skewed. my goodness, dude, what on earth are you talking about? who the hell said george brett wasn't a great hitter? your posts in this thread have been beyond awful.
  18. this post-race interviewer is brutal. i liked when he asked the 4x100 guy if they practiced hand offs. i would have punched him.
  19. why sign teix when we have a $300,000 version of him OPS-ing 1.600(ish) in AAA?
  20. roosevelt brown? seriously, hoffpauir's not the answer to anything. but there may be some complacency from fukudome. am i sensing complacency? yes, i think i am. Hoffpauir has been hitting the cover off the baseball all season long. He also did well in his short time in the Majors. Something needs to change. Fukudome has an OPS of .631 the 2nd half of the season and has been awful since May. yeah, because this season is quickly spiraling out of control.

  22. That really has nothing to do with it. I think he finally adjusted to his loss of velocity and now is back on track. I agree. I think it doesn't matter to him if he is the '#1' or the '#5' He just goes out there to get a W for his team. I highly doubt anyone went up to him after the Harden trade and saidyou are now officially #4. there was actually a ceremony.
  23. going to GIS that 14 y/o diver that was crying after she didn't make the finals...be right back. HOT.
  24. do you guys even like sports or do you just watch the olympics to change up your masturbating routines?
