we really need to do something about post-season trading. as i've said before, you're trading free agents, which is stupid. sure, tim gave up pujols and felix, but wasn't going to be able to keep either of them (at least certainly not both), and now he gets halladay to replace them. he lost nothing and got halladay.

It's hard to bring the feel of the game when you've spaced out for a few at-bats and your formerly awesome PbP guy has decided that riffing off you is better than calling the game. give me a break. there was never a time when i was seriously lost as to what was going on with the game for "a few at-bats." people have said that about santo quite a bit and it's ridiculous. if pat and ron's "riffing" seriously caused you to lose track as to what was going on with the game, you're not very bright or you're old.

iowa state has lost SIX games in which they led with a minute or less to go. that is hard to do.

You haven't missed a thing. Tim has every first round pick and EY Jr still sucks. Not every pick. Adam wouldn't trade me his! Actually, I only have one first rounder this year. But it is the first one. :D SHOCKING

after giving up an open 3 to tie it in regulation, iowa state fails to get a shot off on their last possession that started with 35 seconds left. that's three conferences losses in which they've led with 1 minute or less left. starting to think ol' hoiberg may be in over his head right now.

i don't really get why joyce is taking this as hard as he is. it's not like his mistake led to galarraga's family being murdered or something. it's like the nine billionth most harmful mistake made in the last year.

Troll fail. Or just stupidity, I can't tell which. I don't think it's trolling. I think it's an honest question, although worded a little strongly. Iowa has had some issues over the past few years and things always seem to be swept under the rug with no one ever batting an eye at Ferentz. People give Dantonio grief for the crap he's pulled with letting players back on the team the day after they got out of jail, but Iowa probably has more players who've been in trouble with the law. I can't imagine the commotion that would have started at the Detroit Free Press if Rich Rod had 12 kids all in the hospital at the same time because of pushing them too hard. Hell, Rich Rod got thrown under the bus because they practiced 45 minutes too long. no, he got thrown under the bus because michigan sucks.

i just realized how much i hate every team in the big 12.

yeah, isu will win a home game or two they have no business winning. if stupid hamilton (6'11" guy that could defend and get rebounds) hadn't transferred to LSU because he was "homesick" (he's from utah, lol), they could actually maybe win 7 games in conference or something.
