    Emery doesnt strike me as that shortsighted. A great way to fill a need is with a first round talent. He'll trade up if need be. Sure he could trade down for the right value, but I wouldn't bet on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I can see a trade down if there is a QB on the board that someone wants to take before the Jags pick in the 2nd. But I only see a trade if the Bears are dead set on drafting a TE with their 1st pick. Eifert and Ertz would both be overdrafts at 20, and at least 1 should be there if you go back to the top 7-10 of the 2nd round. I don't really like either idea. A lot will depend on the new coach though. If you don't take a TE with your first pick, might as well stay at 20 and draft the best OT, OG, LB available. I could easily see a trade down, especially with no 3rd rounder and less of a need for one impact guy but rather multiple capable players. They don't need an elite pass rusher, DB, QB or receiver. I'm also not sure how a trade down is "short sighted".

    They had the highest weighted DVOA this year and ranked 4th in both offense and defense and 3rd on ST. Dvoa is for people who think they are smarter than they are, and Seattle needed extreme ref help to even qualify

    You think so? I see Seattle being able to move the ball at will. If Lynch doesn't put the ball on the ground at the 2, it's 28-14 right now. Seattle is garbage.

    Well [expletive], every QB has had a bad fumble or two if that's all we're talking about. Cutler had 8 fumbles. RG3 had 12. I wonder if RG3 is considered lackadaisical in the pocket? But RGIII willed his 10-6 team to the playoffs, Cutler did not. Similarly, Andrew Luck's 10 fumbles are meaningless when you consider how he "specialed" his team to 11 wins.

    Cutler spends the entire game dodging freight trains in the pocket. If he truly was lackadaisical, he'd be dead and the most fumble prone QB in the game by a wide margin. He is neither.

    I think Shark will be better than a three win pitcher this year. They have his innings low because of his past usage. Also, they won't live with a zero win year from Stewart without moving to Valbuena, Vitters, Lake or another solution. Otherwise I'd probably agree. You are assuming those guys would actually be a solution for 0 win production.

    It wasn't a swipe; I was legitimately asking why narratives bother you so much. I think everyone gets annoyed at the SEC, but at this point it's like complaining about the Yankees and Red Sox. People should not complain about the Yankees or Red Sox?
