  1. Tiger took a bad drop, rules people deemed it okay at first, then his press conference words indicated it was done wrong. So they rereviewed and decided on 2-stroke penalty. Lots of people want him to dq himself
  2. Fuji on the Down Low
  3. This makes no [expletive] sense If you have a good team, the discussion is about the players that actually contribute on a daily basis. We're discussing which of 4-5 candidates ought to sitting on the end of the bench or DFAd. The fact that you are discussing who is the best fit for the end of the bench in no way shape for form indicates your team is bad. If your team was good and the starters were mostly settled then it would make perfect sense to focus on bench spots, seeing as how that is the way you can find the marginal improvement that matters to teams in contention.
  4. Somebody last year was warned multiple times. On the surface there's nothing wrong with penalizing a slow player for playing slowly; however, there's no way this wasn't a decision made by some racist old a-hole with a raging hard-on for sticking it to the asians.
  5. Why are you so bothered by the fact that I don't like Pat Hughes? Opinions on stuff like this are subjective as hell. I can't help the fact that the way he calls a game frustrates me sometimes. I'm bothered by any fan claiming their announcers aren't big enough homers. It's nothing personal.
  6. Giants select Sio Moore, OLB, UConn
  7. Damn you Pat for not properly enjoying this one!!!
  8. This made me laugh because a) I totally know the voice you are referring to and b) Pat seems so wholesome its hilarious to think of him taking pleasure in losing Pat takes pleasure in living life and his life happens to be very closely associated with a lot of baseball games the Cubs have lost.
  9. People who would otherwise spend money to attend games at Wrigley are siphoned off into the rooftops. It's a parasite. They have fought any and all types of upgrades to Wrigley, including bleacher expansion, because their only way of remaining an ongoing enterprise is by maintaining the status quo in Wrigley Field.
  10. Youre probably right here. The new incarnation of the rooftops doesnt add charm, whereas the prior I think probably did. So when they were infringing on the cubs property they were adding a bit of charm and since the agreement they are providing the consideration to do what they are doing. So basically im not gonna fault them for advocating for their businesses and trying to enforce their contract. You're for the bribing of politicians and against the Cubs?
  11. The revenue would be meaningful and the asthetic is meaningless if you can't produce the team to be good enough.
  12. They are leaches who profit off of the Cubs and bribe politicians to make life harder on the Cubs than it should be. They devalue the team. It's also a god awful way to watch a game.
  13. Not sure the Jackson percentage, but Rizzo has struck out over a third of his AB's. Jackson has been around 35-40% of his PA, I believe.
  14. Seriously. I'm freaking lost. Pat and Moreland went on for like 2 innings about the Adam West Batman show and which actors played which characters. I know, and I was freaking lost during their entire conversation. I'm listening in the background so don't hear every word, but every one I heard was about some old actor.
  15. Theoretically important at least.
  16. That is not a defense. If a sucky player has a sucky stretch of play, pointing out he sucks is not negated by a small sample size. If he was good and went 1-20 it would be a different situation. If he was bad and went 10-20 he'd still be bad.
  17. Not surprising, but that's an odd bit of nitpicking, to say they are doing it for the Cubs, not the rooftops. Of course the only reason anything is being agreed upon is first and foremost, because of the Cubs. They want to be able to maximize what they have to work with. That's the entire point of this discussion.
  18. I'm not trying to be a smartass, but are you surprised by this? I had much better luck last year. I was selling mine at face value almost every game up until about July. This year has been really bad so far. There was some excitement at the beginning of last year that the new regime had a few tricks up their collective sleeve to make the team competent. But they've been really bad for really long and not many people care to see that one a day-to-day basis.
