  1. Sulliven with a dig at Bruce Levine, I believe, who congratulated Ricketts before asking his question.
  2. Just realized they are purposefully missing the playoffs to allow for construction to begin by October 1 every fall.
  3. was that bruce miles asking about business/baseball side tension with regards to finances?
  4. My guess is Tunney doesn't want to be seen in agreement with his masters' nemesis. They simply agreed to let it go up to vote but won't go on record to say he supports the sign/expansion/etc.
  5. Agreed. Something is messed up here. How can they say that the deal has been reached but keep referring to it as a proposal. Unless they are referring to the fact that city council needs to approve or something?? The full city council approval thing is an issue, but it sounds pretty clear to me they haven't actually come to an agreement on the details, as he is just sidestepping every single question. He's not good at press conferences. Although I did like the answer to the questions about potential rooftop lawsuits. "This is our proposal. We expect to go through a prolonged community process with lots of hearings and in the end go ahead with this proposal."
  6. so it doesn't sound like they've agreed to anything. Ricketts keeps saying this is our proposal, but it differs from the city's statements in terms of the jumbotron and expansion onto sidewalks on waveland/sheffield.
  7. press conference looks to be located to emphasize how dingy Wrigley is and how much needs to be done to improve it. http://d3j5vwomefv46c.cloudfront.net/photos/large/758496255.jpg
  8. It is still covered by the landmark designation though, correct?
  9. It's been stated for a while that they don't need much of any approval for improving the grandstands, but they plan on doing that in pieces over the next 5 years.
  10. JIM BOWDEN ‏@JimBowdenESPNxm 10h Ted Lilly remains on Dodgers DL despite the fact he's healthy; LA must decide to reinstate, trade or release him or a grievance will follow
  11. He's not a mohel he's a mule
  12. he's literally the only player on tour that is worth watching. This is dumb Literally
  13. Tiger took a bad drop, rules people deemed it okay at first, then his press conference words indicated it was done wrong. So they rereviewed and decided on 2-stroke penalty. Lots of people want him to dq himself
  14. Fuji on the Down Low
  15. This makes no [expletive] sense If you have a good team, the discussion is about the players that actually contribute on a daily basis. We're discussing which of 4-5 candidates ought to sitting on the end of the bench or DFAd. The fact that you are discussing who is the best fit for the end of the bench in no way shape for form indicates your team is bad. If your team was good and the starters were mostly settled then it would make perfect sense to focus on bench spots, seeing as how that is the way you can find the marginal improvement that matters to teams in contention.
  16. Somebody last year was warned multiple times. On the surface there's nothing wrong with penalizing a slow player for playing slowly; however, there's no way this wasn't a decision made by some racist old a-hole with a raging hard-on for sticking it to the asians.
  17. Why are you so bothered by the fact that I don't like Pat Hughes? Opinions on stuff like this are subjective as hell. I can't help the fact that the way he calls a game frustrates me sometimes. I'm bothered by any fan claiming their announcers aren't big enough homers. It's nothing personal.
  18. Giants select Sio Moore, OLB, UConn
  19. Damn you Pat for not properly enjoying this one!!!
  20. This made me laugh because a) I totally know the voice you are referring to and b) Pat seems so wholesome its hilarious to think of him taking pleasure in losing Pat takes pleasure in living life and his life happens to be very closely associated with a lot of baseball games the Cubs have lost.
