  1. Cool. Honestly, at that number, I half wonder if we add a few to it......(hope not, but could understand why) That would be very dumb of them.
  2. i can recall several instances of MLB hitters angrily walking to the mound wielding their bat after a HBP and getting minimal if any penalty for it afterward I'm not saying they would but they could arrest him for assault. You could arrest a boxer for assault as well.
  3. They are disgusting. But I had to try one after hearing so much about them. Bottom line is never trust a sportswriter when the discussion is food based. Or sports based.
  4. Apparently? Haven't you noticed every column ever written about Augusta National talks about those $1.50 pimento cheese sandwiches? The thing I thought was weird is everything is generic and/or labelled as Masters. (Beer, light beer, imported beer, , soft drinks, chips, cookies, etc.) They even force you to rip off the gatorade bottle label when you enter. Except there is Mars branded candy, Snickers and M&M's. Thewrapp ers are all green plastic, I'm guessing so they don't show up on TV. http://i.imgur.com/5KSZGCv.jpg But apparently Mars Inc. struck some sort of deal to be included.
  5. will lillibridge be DFA on Tuesday?
  6. Because 5 went in the first round.
  7. Yes but he was apparently running towards the opposing dugout with a bat in hand. That isn't a whole lot better. Luckily he was stopped before he got close enough to do anything. Not even making it to the dugout and not swinging the bat (and possibly making contact with the opponent's dugout wall) is a lot better than the initial reports. Yeah, I don't even see how you could see it's not a whole lot better. It's a completely different dynamic if he actually goes to the dugout and pounds on it while waiting for a challenger.
  8. Jets take Syracuse QB Ryan Nassib
  9. Eagles load up at wr with quinton Patton
  10. Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs 3m #Bears have agreed to terms with DT Andre Fluellen. He has spent majority of his career with #Lions and he will sign a 1-year contract.
  11. No what did he do? made fun of bleacher report
  12. Zach Zaidman ‏@ZachZaidman 10m #Bears announce that LB James Anderson will be first player on team to wear uniform number 50 since Hall of Famer Mike Singletary.
  13. Yeah, Kuc tweeted it a few hours ago.
  14. Soler and who combines for the corner OF? Almora? I was under the impression that he had a chance to be special if he could stick in center but that he probably wouldn't be much of anything special as a corner OF. I don't think that corner OF would come close to top 5 in baseball by 2016. I sure hope Rizzo is a top 10 1B, but some projections have him struggling to break into that level. How do you figure that....ZIPS projects Rizzo as a top 15-20 player in baseball in the next 5 years. I would think that puts him at one of the top 2-3 players at his position. I've heard/seen people refer to him as having an Adam LaRoche future. I can't recall seeing any reference to being a top 15 player in all of baseball, but that would be sweet.
  15. then he was designated for assignment but interestingly enough has not shown up on any roster since
  16. More like (about to inflict a) beat(down) writers, am I right? http://d3j5vwomefv46c.cloudfront.net/photos/large/756124132.jpg
  17. I too picked Louisville to win and finished in 9th place. Out of 25 people.
  18. The late 90's saw the Cubs farm system on the rise and projections matched up with what eventually happened in 03/04. Of course, that prospect batch was extremely heavy in the pitching department and pitchers are unreliable, and even doubly so when you go out and find the worst possible manager for the talent you have in the pipeline.
  19. Was he arguing? I wasn't watching super closely but thought he just forgot Braun was on 2B and asked for a new ball. He was arguing, he gestured as soon as the ball got past him and kept yapping after the play was dead. Looks like he thought it was tipped but it wasn't even close.
  20. He probably figured he wouldn't need leverage to go ahead with renovations that he's footing the whole [expletive] bill for Everybody knew the landmark designation and rooftop/neighborhood groups plus Tunney stood in the way. The notion of selling Wrigley separately was a joke because of all this.
