Astros: Jonathan Gray, RHP, Oklahoma The Astros are down to five candidates: two college pitchers (Gray and Mark Appel), two college hitters (Kris Bryant and Colin Moran) and one high schooler (Clint Frazier or Austin Meadows). There are whispers regarding Bryant and Moran, but Gray is still the pick. 2. Cubs: Mark Appel, RHP, Stanford With no change at No. 1, there's no reason to change No. 2. 3. Rockies: Kris Bryant, 3B, San Diego Same as above. If Bryant goes No. 1, then the Rockies could look at one of the big arms. 4. Twins: Kohl Stewart, RHP, St. Pius X HS (Texas) The Twins have liked Stewart's power right arm all along and will have a comfort level that they can sign him away from Texas A&M football before he commits. Last mock Draft: 6 (Marlins) 5. Indians: Colin Moran, 3B, North Carolina One of the big two college pitchers would be of interest to the Indians and they could look at Stewart or Trey Ball if they wanted to go the high school pitching route.

    Seabrook is getting a lot of props for his goal, and rightly so. But some are raving about his defensive play as well. To my untrained eye, he was very lackadaisical with the puck last night, and off and on throughout this series. I feel like he gave up chances after poor attempts to clear the puck multiple times.

    The Rolling Stones have concerts in the UC on Friday night and Monday night. And they wanted their premier team, Pittsburgh, playing Saturday night in primetime.

    Point of note, I doubt this year's IFA class helps the Cubs top 30 lists this coming offseason. Few 16 or 17-year old Latin American prospects make a dent on top prospect lists before playing a single professional game. Not even top 30? Sure they aren't going into your top 10 but the guys at the second half of your top 30 are nobodies anyway. Why wouldn't a highly touted IFA vault up to their level?

    I heard him talking about Kyuji, and then I heard him talking about failed trades with the Braves but didn't hear what he said about Vizcaino.

    Wedge's slash lines in his miserable 4 seasons in the bigs .233.340 .430 .770 9 seasons in the minors .249.347.443.790 He's a manager. Baseball is a strange business. What's your point? A good amount of coaches/managers are guys who were average-to down right awful at the top level of their sport before getting into coaching. My assumption is he meant the guy's numbers were quite dependent on a solid walk rate that kept his OBP quite respectable despite an awful AVG. But then he goes out and downplays the value of patience, which is similar to a lot of other anti-sabr people.

    There was a lot of talk that he would appear for the Cubs this season, and I wouldn't assume anybody who follows the system would be up-to-date on what his status was prior to the injury.
