  1. Maybe you should contemplate that fact. Likewise. Okay, I have contemplated the fact that your statement stood out like a sore thumb and have dismissed it as the rantings and ravings of an unhinged lunatic.

  4. lots of hard hit balls early. Pitches right over the plate.
  5. Maybe cameras picked it up more easily than the naked eye.
  6. Is 3-1 against the DBacks really impressive, even for the Cobs? it is to me
  7. but he is busy playing right now, that's what I meant by not including him Way to change your story.
  8. I thought it went stick side.
  9. WTF? It's Thanksgiving, that is what happens on Thanksgiving every year. The Bears and Lions each have three days rest (Bears play Tampa at home week before while New England hosts Lions.
  10. Aramis Ramirez was a better Cub than Lee. He is the best Cub since Sosa.
  11. winning a 4-game series is impressive. I want to be impressed
  12. It was all over ESPN yesterday. It was mentioned on local news in NYC. It was on nj.com, which is a collective of a bunch of New Jersey newspapers. I saw it referenced on NBC Sportsnet. It was trending on twitter. Yes, it got press. How much anybody actually cared doesn't really matter, it was a sports story that received attention And as others have noted, the idea that Sosa was invited and told them to pound sand does not add up.
  13. Yeah, they made that clear at the top. It's still pretty funny that only 1 NFC team predicted sub .500. At least the Raiders and Browns writers predicted 10+ losses and each AFC division had a writer with the balls to pick sub .500.
  14. Maybe Ricketts is trying to take a page, the least helpful page but a page nonetheless, from George Steinbrenner's ownership manual and starting a pointless feud with a former player to build up expectations for the eventual reconciliations which will lead to a sell-out of some meaningless game in the future.
  15. Those plans can change in a game or two. Lose a couple games 2-1 without much bullpen usage, and/or have a player getting dinged up but not enough for the DL and things can change.
  16. TT is the Darren Rovell of Cubs message board moderators. Do not disrespect this brand.
  17. Less ridiculous than calling fans that have to live through this nonsense "misanthropes". That's a real [expletive] move by you. You get more upset at fans that do not enjoy this process than the people putting us through this process. That says a lot about you.
  18. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? THIS IS NOT AN OPEN DIALOGUE ABOUT PAST PLAYERS. THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL CAMPAIGN. We know he was not a beloved teammate. That does not matter.
  19. This is so obnoxious and tedious. The 6-year rebuilding plan? Yeah, it is.
  20. One sub .500 team in the NFC, three 12-4 teams in the AFC West. the NFL ends up 68 games over .500. The L stands for Lake Wobegon.
  21. One sub .500 team in the NFC, three 12-4 teams in the AFC West.
