  1. Not so far today. Total domination. Gotta get another one. You might be seeing something I am not, but Saad has mishandled almost every puck I have seen him touch this series. Beats not even trying to touch the puck.
  2. During the mountain climbing ad my daughter was very excited to see the blackhawks flag at the end.
  3. Versteeg out, joakim noah in?
  4. I'm sure he could find a doctor to prescribe something for that.
  5. I don't think I've ever seen a breakaway like that in futbol, where a defender slips and the play is essentially over right there.
  6. Why? Management's job is to maximized the team's chances of winning. Trading veterans for prospects is just a very small part of that. Anybody can succeed in building up a "system" when that is the only focus.
  7. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! This isn't a thing. This was never a thing. You aren't being brave by disagreeing with a line of thinking that never existed. People wanted them to spend more money to help win more games, because losing this many games sucks [expletive] balls. And losing this many games was inevitable when they got into the taking a dive business. It is amazing how easy it is to lose lots of games if you actively try to avoid winning.
  8. And then turded out in AAA and didn't have Bryant's draft pedigree. I wouldn't have shouted down anyone who said they liked Bryant more before the season, either. He did receive 34 votes for that honor on this site.
  9. Maybe he's just not good enough that we should care whether he gets that playing time. Then bring up Bryant. It's an insult to my intelligence that they act like they're protecting some elite talent with Olt. Throw him to the wolves or stop pretending he's still a prospect. Right? I never interpreted their use of Olt as anything resembling "protecting an elite talent." How are they insulting your intelligence?
  10. Cody Latimer starting offense. Don't know much about him but it looks like a consensus is building that he's climbing boards, and receivers are starling to come off the board. Plus that name, can't pass on it.
  11. Need more own goals
  12. [expletive] yeah perfect timing for return from restaurant.
  13. http://voices.suntimes.com/sports/inside-the-cubs/cubs-top-pitching-prospect-c-j-edwards-to-miss-more-than-a-month-with-shoulder-injury/#.U1rR_zd5mc0 given his stature does this sort of track him into a bullpen arm in the bigsor is this just one of those things with nothing to read into for the future. I dont see why this would effect anything in the longterm. Plenty of guys come back from TJS and other surgeries that put them out for a year and end up starters. Missing a month of shoulder fatigue shouldnt put a good prospect in the bullpen. Considering a large portion of "experts" had him moving to the bullpen specifically because he was likely to suffer from fatigue, I cannot see how you can dismiss it and treat him just like any other pitching prospect.
  14. [expletive] cakes; pies are infinitely better. The Cubs can't even do dessert right. It's extremely possible that this cake is a veiled threat. Whether its a threat against the rooftops or Cubs fans, in general, Ricketts appears to certainly be indicating, via cake dumpage, that someone can't have their cake and eat it too. Master psychology, overlord of mind games, is PTR. If anybody was sending messages it was somebody at the Field Museum, and Ricketts was the target. Anybody notable alderman on the Field Museum board of directors?
  15. I do actually want to see a dozen of them, or more. They could probably succeed 50% of the time.
  16. You're better off defaulting to worried until the player removes all doubt.
  17. That kind of stuff always seems to happen in Boston. Really? Haven't some of the most high profile versions of that happened in Houston and Cali?
  18. It wasn't misspending when Hendry was eating it all.
  19. well done NCAA
  20. That cracked me up. According to that the Mets are only tied for 2nd with Boston in Hoboken.
  21. the burbs I grew up in is rated as 50+% White Sox and only 33% Cubs? Things have changed quite a lot if that is true.
