    We are more than far enough removed. Now if other conferences implode I would agree, but if you have two loses in your conference in normal circumstances you should not be a part of a 4 team playoff. Should? Do, or do not, there is no should.

    It's just not realistic to think about that change at this point, unless this team really tanks the rest of the season.

    Think of it as the score Atlanta has to overcome in order to "win" the bet. They have -3 points going in and need to score 4 more than the Bears to win. On the flipside, the Bears start with +3 points on the board and therefore just have to get outscored by 2 or less.

    I don't see how anyone can think Cutler will change his play at this point in his career. I don't think he necessarily needs to change. He just needs to stop being so unlucky. He makes 98% good throws. But the 2% seem to come at the worst possible time. I don't know if he needs to focus more ir what, but its time to stop pretending he's not a huge factor in losing games. And yeah UK the playcalling has been terrible the 2nd half of really the last 3 games (and the first half of the first 2 games). I feel Trestman doesn't play to win rather plays to not lose. No reason this team should have a 3 point half of football. .....yet they've had 1 in every game so far. The way this offense goes from clicking on all cylinders to shut down mode is inexplicable and quite disheartening. And it's not like it happens on occasion, it happens every GD game.

    Same reason there are Duke basketball fans there I would imagine. Nationally relevant team that's on prime time TV with flashy uniforms. Duke has flashy uniforms? Duke is an historical powerhouse, and conservative white boy mecca. Oregon is all flashy and well marketed by some of the best marketing people in the world, Nike. It's definitely uniform related but not Duke basketball related.

    Wow. Ratliff got a helluva concussion. 3+ weeks for his 1st one? First recorded by the NFL does not make it his first concussion.

    I question the inclusion of the Florida Gators as #3 in Hoboken. Penn State #1 makes sense, Rutgers #2 I will allow, despite anecdotal evidence that people only kind of follow them by default. But Florida #3? I'd say Ohio State and Notre Dame have a clear advantage in presence, while even Syracuse has some people. I know there's a mid-sized sports bar that has a big Gators flag inside, but they have about a billion other things hanging up as well and there are dozens of other bars to consider.

    You could plan out the season so it ends on the appropriate day to accommodate whatever playoff format you want. uhhhhhhh, what the ever loving F are you talking about? Sorry if I wasn't being clear. Currently the regular season ends on a Sunday. If my idea were to be implemented, the regular season would have to end on Wednesday or Thursday. You just have to schedule the season so that happens. It doesn't matter when the regular season ends if you are unnecessarily adding 3-5 game wild card series. That will always push back the start of the division series.

    I'm not going to ask myself that because I'm not one of the weirdos all obsessed with making sure the "best" teams reach the finals. The regular season tells us who is best, the playoffs tell us who wins the world series. The division winners are already rewarded in this system, the #1 seed a little more, and the WC teams have a tougher path. That's great. A 3-game series is an awful idea that only pretends to be a better format for determining the best team.
