I never really considered '07 to be an epic choke. Maybe it's because of how bad we were in 2006, but I remember 2007 being a somewhat surprising season where you didn't expect them to make much noise in the playoffs. I was referring to 1969, 1984, 2003 and 2008. I'll be honest, I was thinking the regular season choke job you were talking about was 2004. Same. 1969 doesn't register for me as a thing beyond associating it with all of those old HOFers who hang around (for obvious reasons). It means nothing to me personally, but it is a HUGE part of Cubs fans as a whole. It was also obvious and the 2004 season was nothing like an "epic" regular season choke. It is also pathetic how much that 1969 team means to people.
