  1. Mark Gonzales ‏@MDGonzales · 21s21 seconds ago Russell 2-run opposite field single to RF. Back to our regularly scheduled programming.
  2. I've never really understood the need to differentiate between kick and punt returners. I think the skill-set is a lot more similar than NFL teams seem to insist on.
  3. that's a lot of defensive WAR
  4. *of course, that is arbitrarily ignoring all the years they don't come close to winning.
  5. wow that's interesting One would think it would be an ideal time to be the Cubs hitting coach, with all the young bats on the way. But if the team is doing whatever it can to keep Manny involved, having certain guys work with him specifically and promoting that fact, I could easily see how he would feel undermined as the hitting coach.
  6. How can God continue to propel the Cardinals to victory when their fan base is embarrassing themselves like this? All glory be unto thee who most often mix worship and bigotry into their daily lives.
  7. Haven't they also had a punt blocked? They have been bad on special teams this year. Maybe they aren't awful on coverage, but special teams issues tend to bleed into one another, considering they are coached by the same man. They are going to be punting from deep in their own zone and that is going to be an issue this week. Yes, they have been bad on ST this year. And they are actually good in coverage (far from not awful) when they actually try to cover, though I guess the fact that they just let a ball sit there doesn't really count FOR them. But I don't know that there's any proof to special teams issues "bleeding" into other areas. Nor do I know how you know for a fact the Bears will be punting from deep in their own zone this week. It's just something they tend to do. Their idiot returns take balls out of the endzone and get tackled on the 11. If this coincides with the offense in shutdown mode, there is a quick three and out and a punt from inside the opponents red zone. Making that assumption is no worse than you disregarding bad results. All these bad decisions and mistakes go back to having a bad ST coach.

  9. yeah. i hope it isn't limited to just club ticket holders or something. It looks like suite, club and other "elite" ticket holders have their sections and that one should be open to most. maybe i'm wrong but i kinda assumed that was the part they labeled the "club lounge" on the cross-section view. it does look different (in particular the ceiling) though. it just seems to me that that's the same area. i hope you're right though because that looks like an awesome place to hang out for a few innings. You may be right. It kind of looks like the club lounge area would not be open air though.
  10. He's talked to scouts recently that are claiming they were high on Schwarber in college, or he talked to them while they were still in college?

  12. an open air bar area like that could be pretty badass.
  13. On what does he splurge?
  14. We are more than far enough removed. Now if other conferences implode I would agree, but if you have two loses in your conference in normal circumstances you should not be a part of a 4 team playoff. Should? Do, or do not, there is no should.
  15. PFTCommenter retweeted Marco Rubio ‏@marcorubio · Oct 4 Proud of but not surprised by @t5_harris leading #Gators to win. This young man is a winner both on and off the field
  16. BUT WILL THERE BE A RAPE CHARGE???????
  17. It's just not realistic to think about that change at this point, unless this team really tanks the rest of the season.
  18. Dude, bro, dude
  19. Think of it as the score Atlanta has to overcome in order to "win" the bet. They have -3 points going in and need to score 4 more than the Bears to win. On the flipside, the Bears start with +3 points on the board and therefore just have to get outscored by 2 or less.
  20. I don't see how anyone can think Cutler will change his play at this point in his career. I don't think he necessarily needs to change. He just needs to stop being so unlucky. He makes 98% good throws. But the 2% seem to come at the worst possible time. I don't know if he needs to focus more ir what, but its time to stop pretending he's not a huge factor in losing games. And yeah UK the playcalling has been terrible the 2nd half of really the last 3 games (and the first half of the first 2 games). I feel Trestman doesn't play to win rather plays to not lose. No reason this team should have a 3 point half of football. .....yet they've had 1 in every game so far. The way this offense goes from clicking on all cylinders to shut down mode is inexplicable and quite disheartening. And it's not like it happens on occasion, it happens every GD game.
