Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 49s49 seconds ago At least two teams, possibly more, have approached NY Jets about trading for Muhammad Wilkerson, per league source. Bares watching Thursday. Bears? Pace has a pro personnel background and has been involved in trades for veterans, as well as trades with the Jets. The Jets could probably also use a running back.
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=phillies+sign+cuban+pitcher An MRI showed right shoulder inflammation for Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez. The right-hander will be shut down 2-3 weeks before being re-evaluated. Gonzalez was recently outrighted off the Phillies' 40-man roster, and he's currently at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The team's $12 million commitment to the Cuban pitcher continues to look like a poor investment. Apr 8 - 7:38 PM
Nah, they're doomed forever because they have some guys lacking in surplus value. The only reason that isn't that big of a problem for them is that they happened upon the greatest example of surplus value and the greatest young player any of us will probably ever see so lol. They are also an incredibly rich team, so it's not a problem at all.
His point might have been that some pitchers prefer pitching in the NL b/c they actually want to hit. Or they prefer pitching in the NL because they prefer to face 8 hitters instead of 9.

Because your link focused on one small aspect of the assassination. What you wrote was covered in the book. My point was that if you find that factoid interesting, the book provides an even more in depth version of the events described.
Unless the reviewer just didn't mention it, the story of how Bell's metal detector failed isn't covered in the book...or at least not covered the same. it was covered in detail ...ok, but the review you linked to described the problem as stemming from the doctor not letting Bell work on the correct side, when the problem was the false positive from the metal spring mattress which Bell didn't even know was even a thing. it's a book the reviewer can't summarize the entire thing The point of the story is that the doctor's killed him by ignoring the concept of sterilization. They were digging in there looking for the bullet with dirty hands before Bell even showed up on the scene.
The NL had two more teams for most of that time. NL teams averaged more HRs than AL teams three times in that period. In 2001, 2007, 2008. Nice - I knew goony's Bonds/Sosa reasoning wasn't enough to add up. well, that wasn't really my reasoning as much as just the first thing I thought of when that note was made. My question was about SLG. Every time I have looked it seems to me the AL has had a ~10 point advantage in SLG.
