  1. I wish there was the peeing your pants smiley on this board. Can' we get it TT? Or any other mod... Also the text strike option
  2. Not everyone, some of us dont freak about steals.

  4. Despite the fact that anybody can throw a shutout in today's game, the actual physical act of pitching is difficult and takes a toll on an arm. Only the superstars pitch great all year.
  5. hello treebird, I will try and talk my wife into getting chinese tonight. i might have to eat alone
  6. Yeah, Grimm walked a guy on 4 extremely close pitches, Montero made a horrible throw and Castro didn't block it, and then he got a flyout, a groundout, and a K. Not really on him that the run scored. Not completely, but don't walk the [expletive] leadoff man. He followed the walk with a flyout, groundout, and K. Hard to pin any of that run on him, otherwise we're putting the standard at a 1-2-3 inning for him not to be at fault. Or less than 9BB/9IP.
  7. not the best time to defend Hammel, but off the top of my head I remember him being pretty lights out for Oakland after July. I don't think that's right...I think he was better, but he was still pretty below average in August and September. 751 OPS against in August and 555 in Sep/Oct. 2.86 and 2.20 ERA in those respective months.
  8. Thought's crossed my mind too. With expanded rosters, probably not necessary though. Need to go for the win here down only 3.
  9. I mean the ball was hit right at him, it's not like he was leaning over the railing, I think that's pretty [expletive] But he didn't just try to catch the ball, he tried to take it out of the glove of a player. it's not like gonzalez caught it and then the dude reached in and grabbed it, they both had the ball at the same time, wrestled for a couple seconds then he stopped. And again, any douchebag wrestling for a foul ball should be ridiculed and shamed in the first place. He knew he was in the front row and that players with gloves could get in the way. The fact that the wrestling lasted any time at all is absurd. Most fans who get in the way just have the ball snagged right in front of their eyes. It takes a special kind of douche to grab onto the glove and try and rip it apart.
  10. feel like you need to give up the grand slam there and clear your head.
  11. pretty sneaky of the Cubs to go with another bullpen day so soon

  14. Arrieta is due to go tomorrow, isn't he? Yes. Lester goes later tonight.
  15. Anybody who instinctively fights that hard for a foul ball should be ridiculed and shamed. Add in the fact that he was in the front row in a Boston hat with nobody in front of him but players then there is absolutely no excuse.
