    Also when saying division winners deserve to be in the playoffs is considered meatball, we know we've reached peak over usage of the word.

    I think the never endin quest to tweak how the standings work is a pointless and fruitless endeavor. Divisions cannot be eliminated for a variety of largely business reasons. A wild card team winning more games than a division winner doesn't mean they were better. The NBA is in no way analogous and this is silly.

    they have been for a while. cardinal fans have been too. and white sox fans. and i don't think this will be the beginning of the end of anything, nor should it be. it's great the way it is. They won't touch the divisions or get rid of the 1 game, but I could see an NBA style re-seeding becoming a thing. Still two wild cards and division winners get an automatic berth, with the possibility that division winners have to be in the play-in game instead of the wild card teams. That would be absurd. Win your division and you are in. Wild card is for non division winners.

    Well I use it as a reference for stats, just don't read the articles. Sure. I don't read them so I wouldn't know. It's not rebellion, it's laziness, mostly. If there is something interesting written on one of those sites, it will make its way here pretty quickly, so I just catch it second hand on NSBB instead of first hand on the other sites So your reasoning for not reading baseball articles is the same reasoning for not reading twitter. Cool. I'd call it extreme faith in nsbb. It's flattering to the rest of us who do the leg work by copying tweets and links.

    Haha, really, that's a headline? Wittenmyer is the [expletive] that's on the bottom of your shoe. He's annoying and irritating, and you just can't get rid of it. I still can't believe he had the balls to ask Castro whether 1) he knew what ADHD was and 2) whether he thought he had it. That was TT's satirical wittenmeyer headline.

    Why would it mess with the NL game? I heard it was possible for nl game to be moved to afternoon depending on how al shakes out, i.e If they had to play al game in Wednesday as well.

    i hope that whenever we win it, he actually feels comfortable showing his face and having some sort of cool moment because the whole thing is awful. Bring him back after they win it. I don't trust Cubs/sports fans enough to not be awful to him if they bring him back for a playoff game or something and then they end up losing. "They" shouldn't bring him anywhere. He probably doesn't want to be brought anywhere.

    I'm imagining him sitting in the same seats with the same pop up hit towards him and him trying to scurry away in a heated panic from a possible repeat performance but he slips, falls out of the stands and lands on Bryant as he's about catch the ball. i'm not

    There's absolutely nothing douchebag about sharing the wealth. The douchebag thing is flaunting wedding party cold beverages that other guests do not have access to. This was meant for us during outdoor photos (while the rest of the guests drove ahead to the reception). The point is, some of the bridal party didn't get any cold drinks because the dates of the other groomsmen took them instead I'd say whoever was in charge of that was a cheapskate and should have had more than enough for the dates and the party.

Also, as a groomsmen pretty much your only duty is making sure there's booze and people are drinking.

    Pretty sure the flooding right now is coming from all the rain that isn't necessarily hurricane related, but the low pressure system that is moving out in time to allow the hurricane to move out to sea.
