You are shooting the messenger. pretty sure that phrase doesn't work when it's the messenger's opinion. with the horrible developments on her twitter, it's a poor time to criticize the ultimately meaningless faults in her reporting, which is why i didn't. you're just trying really hard. That's a really dumb phrase you are using and it doesn't make any sense. I'm responding to some nonsense you are writing.

    i don't know why she keeps saying that she didn't expect this from hawks fans. hawks fans are sports fans. they are no different. you need to criticize her for that? you really read that post as a criticism of her? it was a criticism of sports fans. Yeah, "I don't know why she keeps saying that" and they are sports fans sounds like it excuses those people while complaining about the way she's handle it. It's not a sports fan thing, it's a scumbag thing. There are lots of scumbags that lash out at accuser's and media. Perhaps she had previously experienced mostly positive interactions and is now blown away by the number of truly terrible men's right's douchebags and "don't ask questions if they ask you not to ask questions" idiots attacking her. Why wouldn't she be shocked by it if she's never experienced it?

    Man she is a nut job if she thought that was actually going to work. And if she was really looking out for her daughter, the risk was much bigger than the potential reward imo Are people thinking she planned this from the beginning? A mother writing down the number of the rape kit while her daughter is having a rape kit taken is not surprising.

    With a reputation of a DA who will only bring slam dunk cases to trial, I'm not sure that says nearly as much as you are implying. The reputation was also that he would submit almost everything to the grand jury so as to not take any blowback for deciding not to submit certain cases. I hadn't heard that rep that you cite -- though I imagine the two statements aren't incompatible. Early on somebody reported that cops had a nickname for him that was something like slam dunk, because he would only go after easy targets to keep his shooting percentage high.

    I don't see how what the mom did really matters. The witness testimony and the rape hit evidence is crucial. It matters to the extent that it took an unconfirmed case out of no comment by anybody stage to daily press conferences by the attorneys who are now trying the case in the press.

    I didn't realize people still had a problem with David Ross. I'm pretty sure many people still have a problem with Jon Lester.

    The plastic bag that the paper bag was in? Why would that surprise you? If somebody showed up with a purported rape kit it would make sense to me for the lawyers to place it in a plastic bag.
