The rare road game on CBS thanks to the new TV formatting, I'm sure the big eye is really happy with that decision now. The Rams, who have scored 7 more points than they have allowed and have pretty much defined mediocrity in the NFL for the past decade are a somewhat astonishing 8 point favorite over the moderately competent Bears. Only GB and Cincy are bigger favorites this week. That tells me Vegas wants people to pour money into the Bears and lose it. Nick Foles is the QB and does nothing particularly well. STL does have a stingy defense and since the Bears don't score much anyway this could be tough. I continue to refuse to root for better draft slots with the Bears so they might as well try and win this game.

Yup, they need like 6 better bodies on defense and multiple lineman, 5-6 pick differential isn't deciding the outcome. Nfl teams can win without ever picking top 5.

This whole thing basically boils down to a bunch of (likely) financially secure, tenured professors manipulating some (likely) financially insecure students to wage a proxy war against an administration they don't like, with little regard to to the consequences for those or future students, or the racial divisions that will arise. This isn't about some kids being called names (although a hunger strike against that is ridiculous enough). This is totally self-absorbed professors being totally self-absorbed professors. These short-sighted fools don't even see how their actions are just making the argument against tenure stronger. Who the [expletive] are you to judge how the targets of racism should react? hes Lenny, that's pretty much his specialty

Yep, he's a tool, but he's right. Ditka has always shown loyalty to anybody that will give him a check for playing the Mike Ditka character.

Is there no one in the room to let them know how counterproductive all this is, or have they (almost certainly) been shouted down? The only purpose these mandatory gender/ethnic/sensitivity courses serve is to drive costs up. In my experience, the only person in the classroom who WANTED to be there was the prof, and that was at one the most liberal universities in this country. The president, who is an adult, resigned.

It's not a reason not to sign someone, but it matters. It's a lot harder to keep the player development pipeline full if you're regularly forfeiting a first round pick and the bonus pool that goes with it. Sure, if you do it regularly but that isn't the discussion right now. -

I haven't watched the game and only some of the last one but isn't it hard to evaluate his performance when the defense consists of Hammer, Seabrook and a bunch of 6th defensemen probably, I'm just at the game and he blows from my angle. An expensive goalie should stop some shots

Not to mention the "eyewitnesses" with conflicting stories are said to have been bar employees who give a different version of events while they were at the bar than the alleged victim. It doesn't matter what happened at the bar. She could have gone up to every single person in the bar and said I want to have sex with Patrick Kane tonight and the end result could have been that a rape occurred.

if i could only have one of the big big guys, i think i'd rather it be heyward (because pitchers, because age, etc.) but i'm definitely not gonna not be ecstatic if we get price. "Because pitchers" is why you spend your top draft picks on the best college bats instead of arms. It's not a reason to avoid free agent pitchers.

I doubt it. The prosecutor basically all but said Kane didn't do it... Inconsistencies and contradictions...those aren't "maybe he did it" words. reasonable doubt isn't a part of the civil suit though, correct?
