Apparently the Blackhawks approached David Carle and he turned them down. That shouldn’t be a surprise. Despite all the young talent in the pipeline, this team is not considered by anybody to be a threat anytime soon. they will probably struggle to attract top free agents because of all the expected losses the next couple years. I still think they have to find a way to trade for a young stud, using their upcoming glut of picks.

Non-plussed by the first pick and hate the LB in 4th but rest is fine. Definitely think they got their guy stolen a few times. OL depth and future should be good. WR/TE rooms are stacked. pass rush still gonna suck though.

I heard it not as a rumor but as a mock draft on a goofy humor first football podcast. I wouldn’t hate getting him but would hate trading up. I’d trade up for Hunter or Carter, probably not anybody else.

TE might not be viewed as a position of need but impact offensive weapons absolutely are needed.

So if not top three then only top 10? There’s room for 2 TEs in an NFL offense. He could be better than Kmet and the two of them could be a great tandem for a year or two and then leave open possibility to move on from Cole as he gets closer to 30. there’s no reason why TE should be off the table
