  1. Corey Pronman goes this way:
  2. Quinton Byfield may be on the cusp of breaking through as a star
  3. Yeah, unfortunately most people realize tanking doesn’t really work in the nhl. Tearing down a team to the studs and playing the long game hampers most organizations. The Blackhawks got lucky to win Bedard lottery and are still years away from contending. There just probably aren’t any Hagels or Debrincats out there. but maybe they get lucky if a Boston, LA, Pittsburgh, Vancouver or Calgary decide to make a splash.
  4. Third pick it is so it’ll be a forward or traded away
  5. LAK and Rob Blake parting ways. This was probably inevitable. Zero playoff series wins since 2014. A consistent 100 point team that can’t get out of the first round. Most of their best players are 28+. Their farm system is bottom third of league. This organization probably needs a reset of some sort. I assume they won’t be a tank team, but where do they get better from here?
  6. Keith’s moronity is the best part of the booth. But Ron Darling’s subtle Mimbo character also entertains
  7. Winning the Bedard pick and hitting on Rinzel and Nazar as mid to late 1st round guys are a couple data points suggesting the hawks aren’t hurting for luck. Throw in the Jones trade and getting what they got back plus moving on from Mrazek and I think things are looking up. I could live with Hagens or Martone at 3. fyi, this is Wheelers tier 2, rated 3-6.
  8. Who’s you all? There’s like one dejected person
  9. If there’s a position where you can step in and contribute it’s on d line, where there’s a rotation inherent in the lineup and you don’t have to play every down.
  10. He’s in his final year of contract. It would have to be a relatively significant offer to make that trade. Poles is all too happy to give away future picks. I think it would be a mistake
  11. I didn’t really consider that an option but that would really open up the coach hiring arms war. but what would Tampa stand to gain?
  12. Devils eliminated last night by Carolina and today hurricanes sign Taylor hall to 3 year extension Tampa and Montreal eliminated today. Who do Washington and Florida extend tomorrow?
  13. I really like the Burden pick, because they obviously chose BPA over need. You could argue they didn’t need a WR but they’re now lined up really nicely with skill position talent, and are free to let one or more guy go in a couple years instead of being forced to give huge extensions.
  14. Rick Tocchet also out in Vancouver. He probably heads up the list for Philly
  15. With your bad knees Ed you shouldn’t be kicking any tires
  16. I don’t necessarily agree about too many mouths to feed. last year Detroit had 6 guys with more than 30 targets, but only 1 over 100. The bears had 5 guys over 30 and 3 of them over 100. Swap out Keenan with Burden (getting maybe 80 instead of 121) and slot in Loveland and you get 6 guys likely to get more than 30 targets. Roughly two per game as a baseline with most of them getting 3 or more. They’ll be fine. I think this lines them up to work with Williams second contract status. When he gets there, only two of the three receivers and one of the TE is likely to still be here.
  17. Wasn’t that Ian Wheeler? He’s still around after spending season on IR.
  18. I assume those guys are destined for special teams duty as rookies
  19. Penguins and Mike Sullivan parting ways. That’s a pretty big domino to fall as a lot of teams are rumored to have Sullivan at the top of their list. the penguins job kind of sucks. A dynasty at the end of its rope with guys still expected to be back and trying to contend. The farm isn’t barren.
  20. There are no good conservatives. They are all MAGA. If they weren’t, we wouldbt be where we are
  21. I’m not impressed with the RBs in the least and never liked the Swift signing but the position is still largely replaceable outside of 5-8 difference makers in the league. The bears room is fine. It’s not going to lose them games. It’s not going to win anything. But that’s fine.
  22. He was rated as an UDFA and signed as one. The blurbs I’ve read suggest he may have a slightly stronger leg than Santos but it’s more about competition than upgrade.
  23. Kaepernick did not suck as a pro. He was quite good. Tebow sucked as a pro and was obsessed with cutting off little boys penises
  24. A long snapper from Iowa must have a lot of experience
  25. Tebow wasn’t good at playing football. That’s what made it impossible to keep a place on a roster. kaepernick’s place was just taken away by bigotry.
