  1. Gee guys, you're a little late on the JFK/Seinfeld comments.
  2. Oh please. Leaving after such an incident is not out of line.
  3. Possibly. He was in the process of backing up when Barrett came forward and shoved him. But when you argue like that you are on high alert for sudden movements with all the adrenaline.
  4. Look again. Barrett shoved him first. Z is pushed back and then joins in the fight. It's pretty clear. You must be watching another clip, because it was clear Z swung first. Barrett definetly "stepped up", but Z swung first. Look at Z's head when Barrett steps forward. The only reason people don't think he started it is because you can't see his front. on frame 11 Z's head is back. He is clearly shoved and then lunges. Z started the verbal stupidity, but Barrett made first contact.
  5. Look again. Barrett shoved him first. Z is pushed back and then joins in the fight. It's pretty clear. Regardless, both deserve to be gone. Very true. I just think Chip was doing a bad job blaming it all on Z. It was 2 immature morons fighting. Remember, Barrett argued with Lou after getting picked off. He wasn't saying, "I'm wrong" he was clearly arguing with Lou as if it wasn't his fault for getting picked off. I would not be surprised if Barrett takes the brunt of the fallout.
  6. I disagree. freeze it just as it goes from 10-11. Barrett is clearly putting his hands on Z first. Z is pushed back, and then comes forward. It's blatant. I didn't see it the first time. Barrett made first contact.
  7. Look again. Barrett shoved him first. Z is pushed back and then joins in the fight. It's pretty clear.
  8. barrett swung first, it's pretty clear. freeze it at 11 seconds, Z's head is back, and to the right, back, and to the right, back and to the right.
  9. Maybe I was wrong. There is no feast. Hey, the Cubs's pythag is probably going to get closer to their actual record pretty soon.
  10. I am genuinely excited for the possibilities. Going into the commercial break I was bummed, but I've had a smile on my face since the fight.
  11. I would've let them fight. Barrett sat on the bench for a while. I'm guessing he went into the clubhouse only after Lou said he's taking him out. If so, Lou was probably hoping they'd kill each other to get out of the contracts.
  12. Some producer in Bristol is putting together a montage as we speak.
  13. All things considered, if you heard two cubs fought each other, Barrett and Zambrano are the obvious candidates for the job.
  14. For some reason, I read this as "scoffed" as if Renteria yelled "pansy" or something across the field at Francoeur for only getting a single against Eyre. No, he just bitch slapped him when they got back to the dugout.
  15. Z was pointing at his head as if to tell Barrett to use his head more (How ironic, huh?). Then it looked like Barrett pointed at the scoreboard to show Carlos his one mistake is miniscule compared to all the hits Z had given up already. Then Carlos went ape and attacked. Actually, things were still calm right after the point to the scoreboard. Barrett said something else without pointing right before they tussled.
  16. I don't think there's any way someone can say anything other than it shows extreme stupidity and immaturity from both men, particularly Zambrano, and supreme blowage from the entire team. The only good could be if it inspires some personel changes.
  17. Just saw it in full again. Z's initial words to Barrett were actually somewhat calm, although the pointing to the head was insulting, to say the least. You can't see Barrett's mouth, but knowing how much he argued with Lou after getting picked off, I'm guessing he was just as bitchy in response. Just before the actual physical contact, Zambrano was backing away. Barrett must have set him off with whatever he said just before they clashed. Both definitely deserve blame.
  18. You think you're the first? I said one of the first. You want to brawl? Scoreboard you sunofa...........
  19. Carlos Carlos started the jabbing. Barrett's apparant defense for his stupidity was to tell Zambrano he was getting rocked. Things elevated and it looked to me both guys were looking for physical contact when it started. but it was basically reaching and grabbing.
  20. I do as well. I think he's melting down. He was arguing with Lou after getting picked off. Now he's arguing with Zambrano. Chip is blaming it all on Zambrano, but from my end it looked like both guys went at each other.
  21. Can't be, he's a horse. It's all mental. I put him on the DL tomorrow. Put Guzman back in rotation. Let the new guy catch for the rest of the series. Call-up Pie for center and bench Jones. Awesome fight in the dugout. Awesome.
  22. All the early soft contact has turned into very hard late contact. Zambrano once again has nothing.
