It's too bad he threw 117 last time, and 125 three starts ago. It seems likes every start Z has had to reach back and get a little something extra. The worse his slump got the more effort he seems to be putting into his outings, and that's not necessarily a good thing for pitchers. I'd really hate to see him battle through 6 and have the coaches try and get 7 or 8 out of him by extending him, when it already appears there is something wrong with the guy. Lilly and Marquis should be available if they need a couple innings tonight. Marquis isn't scheduled for a regular start until Thursday, and he's coming off a 50 pitch outing. Hell, I could live with Zambrano for 6, Marquis for 2 and Dempster for 1. Just as important as Zambrano having a good long outing, the offense really needs to score 6 or 7 tonight.
