I like Theriot as well, and if he hits 8th that's fine with me. I don't know why he's the scapegoat right now, I don't see Mr. 136 Million Dollar man with a single hit. I guess its cause he's not leading off? How about our "#2" pitcher giving up 5 runs? I'd like to think about why we lost, and it wasn't all on Theriot, not even close. Theriot takes heat because he isn't good, but the GM and manager screwed up by giving him the role he's currently in. Is that fair? Maybe not, but if I went out there and pitched, I would expect people to be really pissed, because I've done nothing to deserve the job and shouldn't be there. It has nothing to do with an 0-2 start. Theriot isn't the scapegoat for the first two games. It's completely dishonest to pretend that's the motivation behind the so-called anti Theriot talk. Most Cubs fans want the Cubs to field the best possible team, and they know Jim Hendry has done a poor job doing that. Ryan Theriot is currently the most glaring example of that failure, and is therefore going to take heat for it. How hard he tries is meaningless. This isn't little league, it's professional baseball with the expectations that come along with people paying to watch professionals.
