  1. Chesty Larue twins in the stands. Nady was just throwing his bat at everything. MLBTV is annoying me with nonstop Devils playoff commercials.
  2. Theriot liner to short, dropped, everybody holds, Fukudome liner to left caught, Baker scores Ramirez walks.
  3. he and prince must do some serious damage to local buffets. good thing ruben quevedo isn't still around. It's Wisconsin, I doubt the buffet owners bat an eyelash when those two come in the door.
  4. the real question is, do you bunt here?
  5. The only problem with the Casey thing is they could have held onto him and used him as cheap backup option instead of constantly spending millions on crappy veterans. But you couldn't get anything for him in a trade and couldn't even direct where you send him because few teams were going to have any interest. Not to mention there was no reason to worry about him hurting you.
  6. He's not an IF either, so what are you going to call him, a DH that can't hit?
  7. Which is silly, since it's tiny minority of the plays he handles that he ends up screwing up. I understand that, but anything he has to move to his left or right on is never easy for him. He does make the routine pop fly with relative ease, but moving side to side is an adventure. Hes so damn scared of that wall its ridiculous. Not really. It's a brick wall and he's not an outfielder. He's scared of all walls, brick or not, and he's been in the OF for nearly half a decade now.
  8. A Yankees fan called me 2 minutes ago to ask if he should bother putting in a waiver claim on Soto, I suggested picking him up but not wasting the claim, and then Soto hit the HR and he's rethinking waiting.
  9. These type of posts have somehow come all the way back around to being hilarious again. Whenever I want to get mad at Soriano, the ass clowns making outrageous claims get me mad at them, and I feel ok about Soriano again. It's going to happen eventually, it's just a matter of when.
  10. There's no need for a fake DL stint right now is there?
  11. As well as pitchers with control who will pitch around a guy.
  12. I walked by the NHL store a little bit ago, where they film some segments for the network. There was a female on-air personality wearing a very nice fitting blue dress. Sort of brightened my day a bit.

  14. Dad/Mom/Kid combos are uncommon at Wrigley Field? Never heard that before. I'm not saying you never see families at Wrigley. It's that other ballparks are more accomodating to families and as a result they're more common. You ever taken a 18 month old to Wrigley and had the misfortune of sitting down the 3rd base side in the 300's? The only family restroom is down in the first aid area on the other side of the ballpark. Or have you ever tried to get a pee-shy 5 year old nephew to urinate in a trough? Plus high ticket prices make taking most kids to the ballpark too expensive. I've been to games at SBC/PacBell/AT&T, old Yankee Stadium and Shea where I've noticed the lack of families. But on the upside Wrigley doesn't have all that kid friendly stuff that ends up meaning you miss three innings because your kid is playing in the XBox Lounge or waiting in line for the Pepsi Batting Cages. I've taken kids to the ballpark, and I see plenty of families there. You are probably misinterpreting the full house where families just blend in. Either way it makes absolutely no sense to claim familes at Wrigley are an uncommon sight.
  15. They can be suspended for things like if somebody in their posse kills a man, not if they hook up with a girl in a bar. What if I told you he wasn't married to this girl Well that hussy should be locked up then.

  18. thinking possible pass rusher or pass receiver here, and the Jets have acquired or are in the process of acquiring both of these positions before the draft. Given the fact that they've acquired a young WR already and are still just in talks with an old pass rusher, I think I'll go Everson Griffen here.
  19. What an asshat. You got to love how he basically places himself on the same level as Woods in terms of their role in the golf world. Jim, you are paid to talk on TV, that's why you can't say naughty words on air. These guys are paid to golf, they can, and do, say naughty words.
  20. Everybody else starts Wednesday or Thursday, stupid fake basketball team.
  21. He's accusing the NFL, not the Steelers. May want to re read what he said, he accused both How'd I miss that? First line and all. Anyway, it's a huge stretch in both instances.
  22. I don't get this either. But hey a line out DP and the game is over! I'm guessing home opener and off day tomorrow is the reason for this.
  23. I've been to multiple Blackhawks/Flyers, Bears/Eagles and Cubs/Phillies games and never came close to be concerned for my safety. Maybe you're just a paranoid wimp.
  24. He's accusing the NFL, not the Steelers.
  25. But what you don't know is whether or not Ben got away with something or was accused of something he didn't come close to doing. If everything his security staff provides him suggests Ben didn't do anything wrong, then it's not like the lack of a conviction means he has to suspend him. It's a huge stretch based on a lot of assumptions for what you are saying to be correct.
