I disagree. He's a receiver, not a QB. He could easily go back to playing football at a high level. what in the world makes you think this? his body has to be nowhere near football shape, and as a white guy, he's at a disadvantage as a no-qb skill position guy, anyway. Because WR is a simple position. He can't play in a game tomorrow. But give him some offseason conditioning to work on his football moves and it would be simple. Guys go from minor league baseball players to college football all the time. Guys miss seasons with devestating injuries and still come back. Players go on freaking mormon missions and go back to football, or from selling insurance or delivering for UPS. Samardzija hasn't exactly turned to a fat slob. I think he could easily transition. He's in his early 20's.
