  1. Olsen doesn't stand a chance.
  2. I was at last nights and have watched maybe 4-5 others. And what you are claiming to see is just due to seeing the results. Ramirez always swings like that.
  3. True. It would be one thing if it seemed like his timing was off, but he's basically just flailing at everything thrown his way. I would agree I am more concerned than anything but his approach is off which sometimes takes awhile for people to change. Like I said earlier he is swinging for a HR every time and allowing his swing to miss a lot because he isn't controlling where the bat ends up very well. I think he may benefit a lot from being given 2 games off and have him watch tape of his AB's this season. My guess is BP doesn't help much because he can actually get good contact against the meatballs thrown in BP. I don't know what it means to say he's swinging for a HR. Aramis always swings the bat really hard, whether he's lining balls off the wall, hitting HR or popping out to shallow right center.
  4. He's going to get called up before I expected.
  5. Seriously. Is the Parker/Gaub/Stevens triumvirate on the Cubs' radar? I have to think he will be involved in the Lilly return shakeup. Although there's no need to wait until Saturday.
  6. That's from Gordon Wittenmyer's twitter. Lou must be drunk at this point. I'm thinking he just said it could be any of the five, even though it's almost certainly not true.
  7. http://deadspin.com/5520663/sexy-white-sox-bathroom-sex-horror-story-brought-to-life-through-magic-of-cgi Now you know.... ...the rest of the story.
  8. A hoodie is the only non t-shirt article of mlb clothing worth owning.
  9. After the second round it doesn't matter anymore, as there are just 2 teams left in each conference. Although the higher seeded team will retain home ice advantage, including in the finals.
  10. And making his determination that Soto isn't hitting enough after 2 games is asinine The question is , Is Soto a Jerome Walton in the making? ROY then bust Do you realize he's hitting .286/.459/.429 right now?
  11. Any prospect should be valued. That doesn't make them untouchable.
  12. Probably higher than the actual number of people there. 523 was about where the cutoff was of people in the upper deck, most of the OF ones were empty. The entire row in front of us was empty, and we were down low.
  13. I swear the Mets win every game you go to. Should've stopped after Victor Diaz I was at the 2003 opener so my run differential is still decent.
  14. I see no reason why Vitters should be considered anything close to untouchable. Maybe not, but he should be in the case of shoring up our bullpen....... Sure, don't trade him for a reliever, but the guy should be considered tradable.
  15. At least I don't have tickets to tonight's game.
  16. I see no reason why Vitters should be considered anything close to untouchable.
  17. Citi Field prevented a couple certain HR last night. That was as empty a stadium I've ever seen for a Cubs away game. Cubs suck. The Samardzija experiment has to end. He's just a terrible pitcher.
  18. He's been the Cubs best hitter for the better part of a decade. He's gone through several stretches of very little production, but in the end his numbers are always there. I'm disappointed in the results so far, but it's completely stupid to be annoyed at Ramirez, not to mention suggesting he was sitting out with a phantom injury to avoid work.
  19. Well, if you want to be on the winning side... :D) As you have probably gathered, Nashville doesn't play a very exciting style of hockey. Mildly successful, but not fan-friendly at all. Yeah, I've noticed the less-than-flattering comments on Nashville's style of play. :D It looks like this could be a good contrast of style type series for me to compare the two styles of play. Help me learn the game, perhaps. You can't really compare the two styles, because Nashville's style forces the Blackhawks to play differently than they would against most opponents.
  20. I'm going to take the rocker train to queens
  21. everybody calling it stupid then acting incredulous when somebody doesn't agree that it's stupid.
  22. Yeah, I don't know why Jersey thinks everyone is just complaining about Theriot being moved. Because it's the only meaningful change. Everybody else just moved one or two spots, which makes no damn difference, and all of the expected people are in the lineup. It's really dumb how freaked out people are by this. Lou just tried to force marmol into a 4 out save situation a couple days after saying he'd never do that. That's far more stupid than this lineup change. He makes these sort of grand statements about lineup changes all the time, but in the end it all ends up being the same thing, a lineup of underwhelming hitters.
  23. Who said I like it? I have had a problem with the Cubs lineup for a while, but that's most about roster construction than order. It's a meaningless change and it makes absolutely no sense that people are so pissed off that Ryan Theriot is batting 8th. Of all the stupid crap Lou pulls, this doesn't even register.
