  1. That's hard to do when you are a Packers fan and the Packers just lost to the Bears. Because that's what just happened a couple days ago.
  2. The Bears have found plenty of servicable players on the DL in the non-elite picks, and they've wasted far more high picks on that position. They may be showing they can win without a strong OL, but if you think the DL is weak then they are showing the same thing there. And they are clearly winning in spite of the offensive line, while the defensive line is at least contributing. If they could find a pass rushing specialist defensive tackle, okay, but those are very rare and far too specific a need to focus in on. They need 5 offensive lineman and have spent one meaningful pick on it in a decade. Cutler can't live forever getting knocked around like that. They don't have a superstar WR and don't look like they are going to get one. They absolutely have to fix the line if they want to try and get the most out of their investment in Cutler.
  3. Well, if you are able to get more like 95 cents on the dollar, it's not a bad idea at all. The cost savings and avoiding the downside risk that he obviously carries justify at least exploring options. Trading him Milton Bradley style is all kinds of wrong though.
  4. Man there's a whole bunch of stupid in here.
  5. How is that a bigger need than O-line right now? I mean...yeah D-line is important...but they're putting pressure (if not getting sacks) without Tommie. O-line is a bigger area of need. --------------- It hurts me to say this, but has the coaching staff already earned itself another season? Even Lovie? They've started out better than anyone thought (even if this is somewhat of an illusion). I see a team that can really develop with some smart drafting. Hopefully, Lovie and Jerry will listen to their other coaches on draft day. I absolutely agree that offensive line remains priority number 1. They've spent a plethora of picks on defensive tackles the past several years, and early ones at that. Williams remains the only relatively high pick on the offensive line, and you need 5 of those on every play. What I don't understand is your note on the coaching staff. They've won three games. 9 should have been the bare minimum for acceptance in my opinion, which means they need to win 6 more. This team can absolutely fall apart in heartbeat and revert to the 2007-2009 form. 3-0 does not guarantee a playoff spot. A couple surprising wins does not guarantee they will avoid several disappointing losses. Let's wait before that question even gets asked, let alone answered.
  6. Winner. It's really sad how almost 24 hours later, they're still crying and still defending the team that got handled. that game ended like 13 hours ago. I'm dead tired this afternoon.
  7. I'm with the south sider though, the Packers losing was funniest
  8. that's more amazing than funny
  9. I thought it looked strange when I first saw it.
  10. puck drops in 9 days

  12. Assumed so, Rodgers was ridiculous.
  13. Any updates here? ESPN's poll has the Giants as 3.5 point favs. http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/poll/_/id/4311/nfl-week-4-pick-em-vs-spread Giants by 4. That's not the actual opening line, is it? If so, that surprises me. Home game or not, the Giants have looked awful lately. And Eli doesn't even need that much pressure on him to look bad. Which is good for us. I saw 3*, off-line, and when I looked again it was 4, so I guess that's the opening line.
  14. Given that both subjects were addressed repeatedly and you regularly read and post in threads about the goings on with the Bears, I just don't understand those statements. I didn't recall reading anything about Chris Williams not playing prior to the game, just Devin A. and Harris. And if they mentioned it during the pregame or game I missed it because the crappy bar I was at didn't have the volume up enough. He left last game with an injury and they talked all week about Omayale going to LT. It wasn't a gametime decision.

  17. No idea who Rod Wilson is and no idea why Chris Williams wasn't starting. weird
  18. wait, what? Hendry acquires bad declining players all the time. This isn't a strength at all. I am talking about Sosa, Wood (though I am glad he has reserected his career)Prior Prior?
  19. meatheads don't care about all that stuff. they just want to kick ass and take names, score with all the hot ass chicks and perhaps wear a white baseball cap backwards every now and then. I have to disagree with your definition.
  20. The game at Lambeau is pretty likely to be pointless, being the last game. Bears-Packers is always a big game. Not really. Maybe for some fans. But they've played plenty of meaningless ones, especially when it's last game of the season and nothing is on the line.
  21. The pick in the end zone looked lazy, but Olsen was outbodied by the defender and unable to get inside position, which is basically how he caught a similar pass later. It was still a bad decision. I'm not sure if I agree that the throws were lazy, it was more about making a few too many risky throws, which is of course his m.o.
  22. Well, I guess we won't have to worry about that this year Cause the Packers lost yesterday To the Bears. Really? You don't say... It's true.
  23. I'd put 2005 ahead of 2008. 2008's offense was barely better than 2005, while the defenses don't compare. Yea... I have 2005 either right behind or right ahead of this year's team. it remains to be seen for me. Oh, I see what you're saying. I think they clearly have the capability of being better this year. The defense won't be as good, but the offense should be better. But as you said, it's too early to tell, make it a tie for now.
