  1. It was presented as a place where you could have a party of 100 or so people, or multiple groups of 20-40, and they listed costs at $200, $150 and $100/person.
  2. If I was doomed to being a ditch digger the rest of my life, maybe. Moss turned things around in New England. He was pissed off about being traded, but that whole thing has blown up now and there's at least a decent chance he's gotten it out of his system for the time being. I have no interest in the status quo of the Bears. If the risk is turmoil, so be it. The end result of the Minnesota situation is Childress may lose his job. Worst comes to worst, maybe he works that magic on Lovie. Odds are we're stuck with Lovie for the foreseeable future, so in the time being stop pretending the offense is fine by only investing in a QB, blocking tight ends and backup RBs. They have zero impact players on offense outside of Cutler and they need something. You can't ask a guy to make his wide receivers better while not blocking for him and having no running game.
  3. http://www.customintercept.com/surveys/web/Outfieldwall.htm http://www.customintercept.com/surveys/web/Triangle.htm http://www.customintercept.com/surveys/web/Marqueeseatsfood.htm I thought the questionaire was fairly interesting with ideas for new seating sections. My favorite idea is probably the right field corner area being converted somehow. Although unless you have some sort of open air access it could feel really cramped in there. http://www.customintercept.com/surveys/web/Outfieldwall_files/image003.jpg http://www.customintercept.com/surveys/web/Outfieldwall_files/image001.jpg
  4. Dallas hasn't been interesting or entertaining for a long time either. They receive an inordinate amount of hype every season but are just 83-84 since 2000 and 1-3 in the playoffs. The kings of all mediocrity, Chicago, are better than that.
  5. Who was the last one? I honestly can't remember. I'd say Willie Gault. There have been a few since then that were pretty good for short stints, but nothing you'd rely on for several years. Wendell Davis may have become something if he didn't shred his knee.
  6. I really have to question David Haugh's sanity if he thinks Moss makes no sense for Bears. I can only assume he's written something about the potential for drama, and that is BS. The Bears have been drama free since the Super bowl and it's done them no good. I'm sick of the mediocrity and hoping everything can be calm and steady enough to finish 8-8. Go big or go home. This team has lacked a legit WR for a decade plus. Take a chance on actually being good.
  7. that was right in front of me and looked deflected, but I have no idea.
  8. They have 3 legit star pitchers and Buster Posey.
  9. They have a ridiculously good starting rotation. The team is mediocre, but dominant pitching can overcome a lot of things. yes they did...they really improved their offense as the season progressed also. I agree it is still a middle of the road offense, but with dominating pitching it is not like they are some complete fluke like the 06 Cardinals. How did they improve their offense as the season progressed? Sure, they called up Posey. But they were 9th overall in runs scored and 10th post all star break. They were 8th overall in OPS and 7th post all star break. They were a bad hitting team with a couple really good bats but the dominant starting pitching is the entire story of that team.
  10. Screw you Ricketts family. I just got an email from the cubs asking me to fill out a survey about Wrigley Field renovations. The first question is: I'm not a season ticket holder but I'm not a casual fan either you bastards. I'm an idiot who spends an inordinate amount of money trying to attend Cubs games in Chicago and other cities every year.
  11. They have a ridiculously good starting rotation. The team is mediocre, but dominant pitching can overcome a lot of things.
  12. Hamilton doesn't mess with that weak stuff.
  13. I only watched the first period of the game, but man that place seemed empty. Was it as dead quiet as it sounded on tv? We went to our seats at 650 and it was empty. But it kept filling up. 7:00 starts kind of suck. The lack of scoring contributed to the quiet atmosphere, but it's also the lack of any rivalry between the Rangers and Chicago. I've been there for Flyers, Maple Leafs and a couple other games and there is more life. I literally had zero negative comments from the fans about my Hawks jersey, even in calm situations I'll get a couple "F Chicago" comments.
  14. Screw you Lundqvist. The Blackhawks outplayed the Rangers in that game but Henry was the difference. Oh well, at least I got to enjoy my favorite thing about MSG, the pretzel rod that comes with each beer.
  15. A good old fashioned November Fool's joke.
  16. The defense has the capability to hold teams under 2 TDs and the offense has the ability to score 24, but all the likely mistakes makes it impossible to expect it to happen in any game.
  17. Moss has no say. Either sit out or play for the team that takes his claim. Right, but if he says I'm not playing for anyone but New England would a team really pay his salary just to block the Patriots? They wouldn't pay his salary if he chose not to play for them.
  18. Cowboys would be hysterical.
  19. In 2 receiver sets you'd go Moss/Knox most likely, but you can sneak Bennett and Aromashadu in on occasion and there will still be plenty of 3 and 4 receiver sets.
  20. Except New England and the first time leaving Minnesota. Oakland gave up a good amount for him. I'm not positive 7-9 means Lovie is gone. It wasn't the case last year, and with the CBA looming, it's not clear cut this year. I'd rather take the risk that teams have to adjust their defense and the Bears sneak away with 10 wins this year and maybe win a playoff game. That's a hell of a lot better than the last three years.
  21. I forgot Colvin was bumped to AA that year.
  22. That's a team that probably shouldn't be spending more money. They have to have the worst fan base of any contender. It's always so easy to find tickets and away team fans usually outnumber or come close.
  23. When did he coach Tyler Colvin?
  24. $6.4m remaining or total 2010? I'd have no problem paying half that salary.
  25. If you trade for Randy Moss you have to know that stuff is coming, so to release him for being Randy Moss shows a terrible lack of foresight.
