  1. I think Nagy will be ok. His biggest miscue was the over reaction to the doink and subsequent attention on the kicker tryout sideshow, which I think contributed to losing the locker room. he inherited an incredibly flawed Trubisky (and probably should have been more discerning in his first HC job) and didn’t stand a chance with the team Pace put on the field for Fields. Guys in second opportunities can improve. If he goes to the right spot he’s got a chance. He was better than the guys that came before and after him in Chicago.
  2. At the risk of starting the offseason thread already, that SOS is because their own division is good and they face Philly, Jax and Seattle. I’m guessing two of three take a step back next year. The entire division plays AFC east which they can each take 2/3 of 4 from, and the NFC south, which they can sweep. Their division champ opponents are all relatively beatable.
  3. That’s a TD worth of fired coaches, is the NFL going to kick the extra point or go for 2?
  4. Pete Carroll out
  5. Chicago limps into the playoffs with its first home game since the double doink disaster. They are looking for their first playoff win since January 2011 (I was there!) and coming into the game as 1.5 point underdogs. Vegas also has this as the second lowest scoring game in wild card week, probably since this offense has done nothing against GB for most of the 8 quarters they’ve played this season. Hopefully the week 18 horsefeathers show was more “holding cards close to vest” than “we’re just happy to be here”.
  6. Winnipeg and Vancouver are pretty terrible
  7. 3 game win streak Bert with the hatty. I just now noticed that Winnipeg is the bottom team in the league right now. Vancouver and the next two with Toronto also at the bottom in Atlantic.
  8. These guys got one and done written all over them
  9. Unbelievably impotent performance
  10. They look like Tampa from like 2002
  11. Caleb gets roasted over the coals if that red zone pick happens
  12. It’s not like they’ll be top ten picks or they’ll need to draft a QB. Mack didn’t work because Trubisky was not the guy. If you have the guy at QB then you find any way possible to put blue chip talent on his roster
  13. They might as well just play out his contract next year. They aren’t going anywhere with or without him. Just build the rest of the roster then move on after next season. Give him a little chance for a walk year miracle.
  14. This line didn’t just start to suck when they hired a new DL. there’s very limited talent. Dayo stinks. Sweat is maybe a top 20 guy as your best and the talent falls precipitously from there.
  15. The bears are 2.5 point favorites, a shift from being 1.5 point dogs when the line first posted. Detroit is a mess but a threat, and the Bears are trying to figure out how best to head into the playoffs. Some guys are likely to rest. But many will play. A win would be nice.
  16. Turnovers ain’t fundamentals its endemic of undisciplined effort led by a Neanderthal meathead
  17. Hahahahahahah
  18. Competence would be nice. Doesn’t help that Thayer can’t complete a coherent sentence
  19. From playoff hopeful to best odds at the top pick in the draft in one month. What a disaster. McKenna is no longer the presumptive first pick. Maybe they end up with another Swede with Ivar Stenberg
  20. Sirius XM. The car just airs the local broadcast but the app can get you the specific team. I’ve driven through all or part of most Sunday games this season.
  21. When I was a kid my dad would often play the Bears radio play by play over a muted tv. My guess is if you do that now you might like the guy for his homerism, but with streaming and lagging you probably can’t do that all that well.
  22. Joniak is awful. I’ve had to listen to a lot of Bears games while driving this year. He is incapable of informing a non viewing listener about what is happening on the field. It’s crazy to me that this guy does radio play by play. He’s lost. You’d think the intonation of his voice would suggest whether a play was good or bad for the Bears. Nope. Going for it on first down, you’ll have to wait for him to digest the result of the play and try and come up with an explanation before you have any idea if the offensive team made it. He spends more time trying to come up with the iceman cometh lines than actually describing plays on the field
  23. Waiting for the PP to end and then pulling your goalie without having possession is some real “tanking” garbage.
  24. Eat a dick Wayne Larrivee* *he’s so much better than Bears radio guy
